Re: how do you use your para 3?

I am a teacher, so I often find excuses to use my knives to do my preparation work. Lately, I've been cutting laminated pouches after heating to prepare manipulation exercises for my pupils. When it's a good sharp Para 3 it cuts like a scalpel :) Imma take some pictures next time I have to cut !

Re: Sage 5 LW Sprint

Since this is the compression lock that I own who sports the best action, I would love to see it paired with one of the best steels. Vanax SuperClean with LC200N liners would be my top choice !

Keep the scales tho, they rock ! And for the color : White or very light grey, a clean color.

Re: New pm2 : loctite on a washer ?

Since I am a new member, my answer came in pretty late ! The main thing was : I'm not complaining and am just seeking for a method to get rid of blue loctite without damaging anything (G10, phosphore bronze, etc.). Managed to get rid of 90% of the lock stick by rotating the stop pin a bit, here's wh...

Re: Para 3 Lightweight clone

Hi Jimsears, I guess it's a bit late but if you were contemplating to buy a Para 3 LW, there is a list of authorized dealers on spyderco's website that can put your mind at ease. However, if it is a second hand buy, I can't really tell. I can only say (write) that I never saw a post or video about f...

Re: Next Reveal Anticipation

@JonLeBlanc : May 11, 2021 according to RamZar's post. @archangel : I would love new designs too. New itterations of existing designs are good, for me it's especially changes in the steel used (I'm looking at you Native 5 LC200N), but it quickly feels like too much when it's taking that much of the ...

Re: New pm2 : loctite on a washer ?

Dear Ramonade: Thank you very much for the update and for taking the time to shoot such good photos. I will ensure they are brought to the attention of the manager of our assemblers so we can strive to do better. Stay safe, Mike Thanks for taking the time. My post wasn't much to complain and way mo...

Re: New pm2 : loctite on a washer ?

Hi, thanks for the welcome message. I did put some victorinox oil on the scale (I remembered that it would remove blue loctite, but if it is 243 loctite, it is resistant to it or smth?), and it removed some of it. Here's what's left on the g10 : https://i.imgur.com/1zqkM8G.jpg I'll precise that it i...

New pm2 : loctite on a washer ?

Hi, After purchasing my 6 first spydercos, I wanted to try the overwhelmingly present (in the knife community) Paramilitary 2. I ordered the new sku with s45vn steel at an authorized vendor so this is the real deal. However, the pocket clip is in tip-down configuration. As i tried to remove it and p...

Re: Production of lil' native compression lock

I mostly buy plain edge models. The backlocks is not as popular in France so it is often available. I love the action on the native 5 LW, but I guess the action of a lil' native will be way more stiff, considering the size and the g10 + liners ! Thanks for the answer anyway, imma wait patiently for ...

Production of lil' native compression lock

Hi forumites, I was wondering if the lil' native compression lock is still in production for it's regular sku ? The s30v g10. I've been looking for one for several months and my usual dealers did not receive any during this time. (I settled for a wonderful Maxamet Para 3, totally different use but e...

Re: PARA 3 C223GP S45VN - Fake or real

Hi Oliver, From what I can see, the finish on the blade and the logos and writings are way too clean and high quality for it to be a fake. But nowadays, they can become pretty convincing. I live in France and was asking myself the same question when I bought my first Spyderco there. I then used the ...
