Great news.

I used a small screwdriver between the blade and spring. With the blade in the closed position and as far on the pivot as you can get it, use a twisting action with the screwdriver to close the spring. Keep pressure on the blade at the pivot and it should slip on.

I got notification this morning that mine has cleared UK customs.

Two Mules, or not two Mules, that is the question.

Both of my UKPK's are sharpened the same. One came direct from Spyderco, the other from the recent restock at Heinnie Haynes.

I only buy knives I'm going to keep. With one exception, the HH Urban. Because of the report quality issues, I thought I'd decided not to get one. I had a change of heart and ordered it but I sent it back as it had issues. I didn't risk a replacement.

Yes, Spyderco use UPS for domestic and USPS for international.
