Agree, I've had a webfoot on order with Knife Center the day the reveal dropped. I check online every couple of weeks to see if it has shipped.

I like the opportunity to reserve something I really want at Knife Center. I have three knives and the webfoot sharpener on pre-order. Oldest is over a year now. They send a reminder every month or so to let me know the order is still live. I can always cancel at any time. Agree, the wait is painful...

There are makers on Etsy who sell 3D printed backspacers for some Spyderco Lightweight (FRN) models. You might ask one of them if they do the Chaparral.

The jade G10 shows dirt really easily and is my least favorite green shade. I have bought BHQ exclusives, but Rit dye the scales on every single one. I just think of them as buying a knife kit that you have to finish yourself.

For me, the Dodo still has the most comfortable grip of any knife. I finally found an SE one but keeping that to be buried with me, so I use the PE ones. Would buy another SE in a second. I dye all my BHQ natural/jade scales so would happily take any color other than that to save me the trouble.

You could add a strap with the industrial strength Velcro available at any big box store. I mount my cordless tools in cheap pistol holsters and secure them with a nylon velcro strap. II would go all out with the heat gun. Worse case, someone could make you a sheath on Etsy if you destroy this one. ...
