Re: Murdered Out Spyderco PM2 Tanto

Someone pointed out that murdered out means 100% blacked out. This is not, so my title is not on spot. Perhaps pimped out would have been better. My bad.

Thank you to the Glessers for OpFocus

Thank you to the Glessers for the OpFocus program. The sale yesterday was terrific. All the OpFocus benefits are very much appreciated. Spyderco has always been very supportive of this community and it says a lot about the character of the company.

Factory Seconds at Arizona Custom Knives

Shame, shame. The agreement when you buy a factory second, is that you will not resell it. Someone broke their promise. Several factory seconds for sale at Arizona Custom Knives.

Re: Tool marks on clip for some new knives

Update: As several have added, and from several on other forums, these knives are legit, from several different authorized distributors. The marks are new, starting within the last couple years. The question: How did Spyderco allow this? It looks like an awful QA failure. I thought it might be a bar...

Re: CPM 15v Manix 2

Everyone wants the hardest steel available, until they drop it from waist height and the blade brakes like this one. Also the max HRC is 64 which means the released blade will likely be 61-62, but still fragile. 15V has been around since the 90’s and there is a reason you do not see it in knife blad...

Re: Tool marks on clip for some new knives

I am slow to believe that a class act like Spiderco, who has their pocket clips well worked out for decades, with suddenly allow big noticeable tool marks. I am very curious to hear the explanation from Spyderco. I hope they reply.

Spyderco will not identify clones

I have a special interest in finding reliable methods to identify clones. If I find a way to verify the metal, then that will be a sure way to catch them. Clones don’t use real S90V etc. I have emailed Spyderco a while back with pictures and a request to identify a clone. They did not reply. My gues...

Tool marks on clip for some new knives

I am seeing tool marks on the pocket clips of new knives. First the Shaman and then others. I have verified with three other buyers, from three different authorized dealers. So it seems legit Spyderco, but what are they? To me it looks like it could be a barcode. I know they are serious about pursui...

Re: Dragonfly - show the love!

I made this dragon fly for my brother’s birthday. I know it’s a matter of taste and some will not feel it. But to me this is one of the most beautiful knives I have seen.

Modded the Manix to remove the enormous hump, and thinned a bit.

PM3 Maxamet - Less is More

I usually customize my Spydies to the moon, but sometimes less is more.
Those gray scales of Maxamet need no change.
