It’s not noticeable, I am still partial to back locks myself, but the compression lock is pretty good and stays out of the way for me.

For EDC type tasks (NOT hard use) I’ve settled on s110v. The edge retention and corrosion resistance is VERY good on Spyderco knives…..and it’s tough enough to handle regular use with out damage. My new favorite steel for sure.

He could be wrong on the timeframe…. it has an aus8 blade so that has to mean at least 1992 right?

Anyways, all I know is that it is a real Spyderco from the late 80’s. My father bought it back then, he realized that I have been collecting Spyderco knives and he gave it to me a few weeks ago. Can’t find anything about it anywhere online.
