Re: Best Blade Steel

Folders- s90v, cru, xhp, k390 and rex45 Fixies- A2, Aeb-l, If I had to pick just one for a do everything with I’d pick XHP. It’s not better in any catagory then others steels mentioned but it’s easy enough to sharpen and don’t need diamonds. It’s not the most stainless, toughest or holds the best ed...

Re: Stretch XL Observations

Good stuff Vivi. My XL should be showing up tomorrow. Looks like the Chief will be solid competition for it, although Chief is heavier (3.9oz). Edit to add: The Chief is also a lot more expensive, but I'm kind of going to be ignoring that issue in the comparison as to which I like better in use. yo...

Re: Getting out knife from dress pants

If it’s hanging up on your pocket, only a matter of time until your pant pocket show wear. Try a moon and sun chap or the birch chap. Small light and thin. Really good powerhouse of a knife in xhp that slices like a laser and has classy scales for dress pants. Has the wire clip (not my favorite) but...

Re: Favorite Lock?

After having a few pm2’s, kapara and a yojimbo open in my pocket I almost always go for a back lock (Millie and Manix is the only exception). After a few hand cuts, the last time was when it was half open cut through my pocket and into the the driver seat of my car. Sold almost all my compression lo...

Re: SMKW Mystery New Exclusive (Jungle themed)

Looks like M4 (four hidden M’s in the picture) and I’d guess a pm2 or para 3 probably with fat carbon scales. Easy money grab for the dealers. Doubt they’d take much risk with inventory sitting for weeks or months. Hoping it’s a military, Manix or native variant but guessing money is staying in the ...

Re: New Spyderco Tuff

This new Tuff has some good materials and looks cool but it’s a little too heavy and thick behind the edge to earn a spot in the rotation. I don’t have much use for a hard use heavy folder that isn’t very slicey. Props to Spyderco and DLT for revitalizing this old classic but unfortunately this one ...

Re: Red Loctite Legacy...

Soldering iron (harbor freight sells cheap ones for $4.99, heats up past 700 degrees). Wait about 2-3 min for it to heat up then hold it onto the stubborn screws for about 45 seconds. The screws will turn no problem. I’ve dealt with Spyderco red loctite for years and on just about every scale type (...

Re: Millie Minority

I had a look at the Military. Blade shape looks practical, handle hand filling - but does it have to be that crazy long? I mean - the cutting edge is barely longer than on the Chief, but the handle is considerably longer - even though Chief ‘wastes’ a good portion of the blade on the choil. For ver...

Millie Minority

It’s been a long drought of any Millie sprints and exclusives maybe the Rex in 2018 was the last(pardon me if I got it wrong just going off memory). I know the stock levels lasted longer then the dealers would have liked on the exclusives in the past and maybe that’s the reason we haven’t seen any n...

Re: 52100 military sprint

Millie 52100 was one of my favorites. Awesome cutter and sharpens up like a dream. I rotate it with the Rex and m4 millies so it doesn’t get constant pocket time but after years of use it’s still as good as ever. I enjoy using it because I love to sharpen it.

Re: Sal - What's next for the Military?

Personally the Military to me is a timeless piece of knife perfectionism. Hands down the best liner lock of any folder, tip down carry where the pocket clip just melts in your hand, multiple grips to use with or without gloves. Easily operated with one hand. Lighy, smooth, contoured. The Military is a...

Caribbean PE out of stock

Haven’t seen the PE Caribbean in stock for months. Tried to find some sauce as to why, supply issues or are these getting scooped up the moment they drop?
