Re: Para 3 Blade wiggle when closed - how to resolve?

I use a carbide ball nose end mill to VERY slightly "flare" the detent hole. If it's really bad, I use it in a Dremel on the lowest speed, but 9 times out of 10 I can do it by hand. If that doesn't fix it, then I do what you said. If there is slop wouldn’t it be from the hole already bein...

Re: Para 3 Blade wiggle when closed - how to resolve?

Is this detent slop while closed? Basically when the knife is closed, you can wiggle the blade just a tiny bit without breaking the detent which holds it closed? My only Para 3 lightweight has this feature. Is yours a Para 3 lightweight or a G-10 one? That's what I assumed he was talking about too,...

Did you try tightening the pivot screws?
Yes tried that already. Didn't work, thanks though!

Para 3 Blade wiggle when closed - how to resolve?

I notice of late that when I close my para 3, that there's a wiggle (slight movement when you hold the blade and the scale and lightly pull). My other para 3's are not like this, their blades sit firmly in place and no wiggle. It's not yet to the point that when you shake the knife there's an audibl...

Re: LC Salt 2 wharncliffe or Delica 4 wharncliffe?

Salt 2 Wharnie LC200N is always in my bag. D4 K390 Wharnie is part of my pocket rotation. Any chance of a Para 3 Wharnie?

DLT DLC Yojimbo 2 Tan G10 Detent Issues

Did anyone who purchased the DLT Yojimbo 2 DLC Tan G10 have issues with the detent? Mine required extra effort to flick open with the thumb and can't spydie-flick it open, even when I loosen up the pivot screws. Compared to my S30V which is smooth when it first arrived. I diligently over last few mo...

Wharncliffe in DLC

Is there a chance that there will be Wharncliffe blades in DLC (preferably 20CV steel but other steels are good as well)? As far as my limited knowledge goes, I've seen only the manbug, Yojimbo 2 and Yojumbo that have DLC coating. Would love to have one in PM2, Endela and Delica models. Just a thoug...

Re: Para 3 Lightweight

I bought mine on Amazon and the seller/reseller is Deadwood Knives, who was yours? Mine came out of the box, "finger flicking" good, no issues at all. Imho, yours may have been a used one or at the very least tampered with (the pivot screw tightened) as they don't come out of the factory t...

Re: Has the Paramilitary 2 ship sailed?

Nope, personally I think they need to just review the releases and see where they struck gold. For example, the CruWear with brown mica scales and full liners...why not release the same only this time in a Wharnie, Tanto or Wave version?

Re: BladeHQ PM2 Aluminum-scale Exclusive

I got a green one. I actually think these will be a sleeper hit after theyre gone. I like pm2. I like titanium/steel/aluminum handles just fine. I like bd1n as an everyday user steel. Its just soooo easy to sharpen, even for us folk who arent good at sharpening. I like that its somehow lighter than...
