Re: Blade off center & quality control

Depends on how off-center, as long as it doesn’t affect function. Most of us who wants perfect centering own torx bits and can adjust and will disassemble anyway. Was never an issue for me until I started watching YouTube knife reviews on how a blade needs to be perfectly centered. My friend has bee...

Re: sprint urban price

Damasteel is very expensive. If you order a custom Bugout you get a $200 charge for picking Damasteel over s30v. I personally like the ivory G10 that comes with this knife.

Re: Help with the Spydie Chef

Some knives take some time to break in. I couldn’t open my Umnumzaan one-handed when it was new and I got thumb callus from it. I agree with the Spydiechef’s blade play being more of a lock bar flex vs vertical play. I think you will enjoy the knife if you continue to use it. Not sure if you can sti...

Re: Help with the Spydie Chef

Mine is the same. I can push the lock bar all the way and could also feel some lock rock. I don’t believe it affects function. Doesn’t bother me. Chef is still one of my favorite and most used Spyderco. Could i ask you how long you've had the knife ? I'm willing to keep it that way, my guess is tha...

Also check the swedge. One side is closer to the tip than the other side on mine.

Re: Fluted CF Native5 In Stk

Would be cool to swap the scale with the upcoming Native 5 Magnacut since it’s linerless. Only bad thing is hard to see down the ocean floor if you drop it.

Re: Polliwog - BladeHQ sprint

I agree, hollow or flat grind doesn’t really matter much to me for a blade this size. I will be using mine mainly to open bag of chips and cut clothing tags.

Re: Polliwog - BladeHQ sprint

Got mine today and I like it. Great ergonomics especially for a small knife, better than my lil native. And it’s definitely cool and weird! Only 3 left!

Re: Lock rock

Just checked my KJ Spydiechef, lock up looks about the same and there is some vertical play like yours if I hold close to the tip and I look for it. Wouldn’t have noticed otherwise. No vertical play if I was holding by the hole. My wife has been torture testing this knife in the kitchen and it’s fan...

Looks good! I’m jealous! Great combo. I lucked out on this one but I’m happy with the CS stonewashed Shaman so I don’t feel too bad. Hope to see more Exclusives in the future!

Re: New member

Welcome. I remember in the 90s when Hahn Manila and PB Dionisio were the only places that had a decent selection of quality folding knives. Things are much better now, with a variety of vendors across the country. I remember spending all day looking at knives at Hahn Manila in SM City North and Meg...
