I don’t know why Spyderco can’t take their Seki formula and apply it to the Golden knives? I really much prefer the Japan FRN to the US one. It has a sort of micro texture that the US FRN doesn’t.

I can carry one , with diamond texture, then grab s90v with a bit smoother texture, and it feels like...

I have personally swapped into the LW frame: maxamet, s110v, rex45, m390. The latter two were in the days before the LW versions came out. They all worked fine both ways.

FWIW I have swapped DLC & Satin in both directions (Para3 <-> Para3 LW) without any issues from more than a half dozen different models and have yet to come across a problem.

I have personally tried this between an M390 Para 3 and a REX 45 Para 3 LW and it worked fine. I did it mostly because I was curious, but it’s important to note that both of my blades were satin finish.
