Re: If you could, would you go back in time?

Over the years I have heard people say they wanted to go back in time to whatever time period they have their own delusions about how wonderful it was. (Mostly Hollywood's fault and or the persons for actually believing it was really that great) I normally ask them all the same questions? I touched...

Re: Victorinox photo and discussion thread!

"Spyder-vnox" One-hand opening looks difficult, if not impossible. I think notching the liner and scale around the Spydie hole might have been a good idea. However, I like seeing new and different knife designs and ideas, and this one is definitely both. It got me to thinking that a Spyde...

So, estimates on how long it'll last on the site?
If my bank account had a fuel gauge, it would be on E until next week, so I'm expecting to miss out.

Re: Spyderco Ulu?

An Ulu is definitely something I'd consider purchasing after I replace my no-name Chinesium kitchen cutlery (it's a bit embarrassing to admit that such things are in my house!). My instinct when using any cutting tool is to wrap my fingers completely around the handle, so I'd prefer a design that al...

Re: Owing two duplicate PM2s. Crazy?

Lesson learned. I collect and use knives. Sometimes I'll buy duplicates...as I like to say, "one for the cabinet, one for the pocket/sheath." I'm pretty sure none of my current carriers are out of production. In the event I lose one, I can just grab the cabinet queen, put it into service,...

Re: Victorinox photo and discussion thread!

The Electrician arrived today. Its smaller blade is more akin to a sheepsfoot than a Wharncliffe. It's a pretty cool piece. Maybe one day I'll find a few in different colors!

I finally got around to ordering a K390 Delica.
I also went with a Delica, which was the only model I was considering that is within my blade length limit. It's a great little knife. I didn't have much difficulty opening and closing it with only my left hand, either.

A donation to the world at large. Lost my PM2 somewhere while running errands.
Ouch! I did that with a Kershaw Chive in about 2004. The PM2 is a worse pill to swallow.

My carrier Delica was used to cut the tip off a caulk tube today.

Re: If you could, would you go back in time?

Now I would like to go into the future, say 100 or 200 years and see. Not me. I take comfort in knowing that I won't be around that long. I would like to go back in time and buy a bunch of old cars, trucks, and knives to sock away. Finding a place to store the cars and trucks could be problematic, ...

I prefer mid back lock because it is easier for me to disengage one handed.
I just tried one-hand disengagement of a mid back lock and one that's all the way back. Both could be disengaged in about the same amount of time, but disengaging the mid one-handed feels smoother and more natural.

Re: Sharpening Sprints and Exclusives

My knives are for ME to enjoy, not some future owner. Unless I get severely strapped for cash, the future owner of my knives will be my nephew. He'll be free to do with them as he sees fit! I enjoy using some and preserving others in the meantime. I definitely sharpen and love my Manix! Those red h...

I got a little ahead of myself, and selected "I don't own any sprints or exclusives." However, that's no longer the case! The one exclusive I own is a cabinet queen, and I might not be keeping it much longer (not because I'm gonna try to flip it, but because a fellow forum member might wan...

And this year I get to replace the liner, patch the concrete surround, replace the pump and salt cell, and possibly filter.
The entire filter assembly? If so, unless you have a lot of vegetation in your backyard, a cartridge filter might be the way to go.
