Re: The Elephant In The Reveal (besides the BBB Manix): The Lil Temperance LW Price
say what you want, but the "we have a long history with the maker" explanation is getting old. "your serrations on your $200 knife are jacked up...? huh... i guess you could just return it and miss out on the model. we like the maker more than the customer." "the knife is m...

Re: Any carbon steel Spyderco knives?
Good suggestions here.
I would also suggest anything in 52100 blade steel. Out of all of my knives in various steels, my 52100 Military model will patina the fastest and the easiest.

Re: You’re all sneaky keeping the REC manix 2 to yourselves
It didn't load my saved payment info either. But this isn't my first drop 🤣 I was ready with card in hand. I DID read some posts from people on insta who had problems with the site and couldn't get one. Maybe they can't afford a larger order, they are a small business, but if they can next time the...

That is a very cool tribute!! Nicely done. It looks like it could have come from the factory like that.
I agree with the previous posts, he was definitely a hero.

Re: You’re all sneaky keeping the REC manix 2 to yourselves
That was the single smoothest drop I’ve ever experienced. Got in at 3…checked out by 3:02 without incident. Dealers: take notice. Whatever REC’s doing, it’s working quite nicely I disagree. I didn’t try to get one of these but personally, I think a drop should last longer than 4 minutes. I can thin...

Re: S90V PM2 Teal and DLC
I mean lets be honest here. While people cite rust reduction and glare reduction as reasons for coating, most of these knives are coated purely for looks. No different than having a Tiffany Blue or Eggplant Purple scale. The coating enhances the overall look and makes it more desirable to the peopl...

Re: S90V PM2 Teal and DLC
I agree, coated S90V is a bit odd. A steel made for working, with scales made for Instagram. I'm guessing we won't see much about this knife within a week after it drops. Straight to the safes it goes. The color isn’t my thing either but don’t be too critical, my wife loves the look of this and if ...

I couldn’t agree more. We could all learn a thing or two from Sal.

Re: Help me choose a photo!
Great shots, Rick. I had a hard time choosing between the Manbug and the Shaman. To me, the way the Shaman is placed gives it perfect flow. I also like it because it is in your EDC environment where all of your knives get used and used frequently. I think either one would win a calendar spot but I v...

That is a nice looking knife and a great looking edge, Vivi. I would definitely buy one if they did a sprint in that configuration.
Speaking of M4, I’m carrying the M4 Shaman again today. Serrated police 4 k390 in my left pocket.

Re: Day in life of Japanese knife maker
That was a great video. Not at all what I was expecting, but totally worth the watch. Also, the name of the box lunches they were eating at the factory gave me a little chuckle too, “Bento Boxes”. Welcome to the forum and thanks for sharing that! :bug-red-white “Bento” means “convenience,” as in a ...

106E390A-2159-4342-AE52-682C21DC781D.jpeg Serrated Pac Salt 2 and M4 Shaman. I’m enjoying the versatility of having both a plain edge and a serrated edge. It’s also a bonus (for me) to be able to use the Salt for several different tasks that would involve cleaning or at least wiping down most other...
