It's gotta be tough trying to estimate demand for these items. It's easy to say right now that the knife market is through the roof, maybe historically high, but my understanding is that Spyderco starts this process as much as a year in advance. Better luck to everyone for the next release!

Only problem with any upcoming releases is that they will continue to sell out just as quickly until the prices on eBay drop near the level of retailer pricing. Scalpers are scum. If someone wants to buy it for $1000, more power to them, but KnifeJoy/Spyderco have stated that there would be additional releases, so this would be folly.
