Re: New UKPK imminent?

Heinnie still have a salt UKPK available though. (Green FRN, but still)

Another 4 pin would be nice. Special steel? Exotic scales?

New UKPK imminent?

In the UK, the UKPK is king of the EDC (IMO!). I have several already. I just saw someone mention that a new UKPK is imminent. I've not heard anything about a new version. Please could you let me know what is coming out? Is there a design change, or a new materials combination or something? Very exc...

Re: When is the next HH UKPK run expected?

Sal, I'm not sure if you will see this post, but just a quick note to say I jumped on the HH UKPK as soon as it came back into stock at Heinnie and I absolutely love it. So much so that I immediately ordered a 2nd one as a spare! Thanks for designing such a great non locking sub 3 inch knife with th...

Re: Oh no, what's this on my new Urban backspring?

If it's just the brushed finish, I'm not too bothered. I feared it was a structural thing. I tend to inspect my knives fairly closely and I'm amazed I didn't spot this in arrival. As one of you mentioned, it may be some darker gunk/oil that is sitting in the scratches to make them more visible.

Re: Oh no, what's this on my new Urban backspring?

I really don't remember seeing them before when the knife arrived. I'm 95% sure it was just polished along the length of the spring.

Don't these back springs arrive polished?

Oh no, what's this on my new Urban backspring?

I've had a brand new Spyderco Urban for about 1 month. Kept on my desk, so not getting scratched in a toolbox or anything. I have opened and closed it a fair few times (~60?) to try and may the half stop a little smoother. The action feels good now. I noticed today the the back surface of the back s...

Re: Urban issues - is this normal?

Thanks Sal, By the way, I tried the blue thread lock on my Urban and it's holding up nicely so thanks for the suggestion. Sure, the action is a little more stiff than my well used UKPK but it's manageable and getting easier by the day. The Urban feels the perfect size for me and I can get a nice 4 f...

Re: Urban issues - is this normal?

Sal, Any chance that the design could be revised slightly so that the half stop isn't quite as severe from new? I understand that the force required will reduce slightly over time but at the moment I have to apply so much force that when it finally does go, it slams down with huge speed and force wh...

Re: Urban issues - is this normal?

Sal, Hats off to you for being so active on these forums! Much appreciated. I'm in the UK so I'm guessing postage to and from the States may be a bit pricey and runs the risk of our customs bods randomly confiscating "a weapon". My Locktite 248 medium (blue) threadlock arrived today, so I'...

Urban issues - is this normal?

Hi Folks, I bought my first ever Spyderco Urban recently and I think I have an issue with it. When I have opened and closed the knife a few times, the pivot bolt seems to work loose and the centering goes off and I get blade wobble in the open position. I can nip up the bolt again and the same thing...

Re: When is the next HH UKPK run expected?

Sal,

I'll watch these new developments with interest. I like the idea of an Urban in upgraded steel.

As for the HH UKPK though, do you have rough timescale for when these will go into production? Are you looking at the next couple of days? 2 months? 9 months?

Thanks

Re: When is the next HH UKPK run expected?

Sal, Thank you for your reply! I really hope Heinnie ordered enough of these. It's almost a running joke now that when Heinnie do a promotional post on Facebook offering a competitors product, people wade in to the comments demanding the HH UKPK! I know a lot of guys are waiting for these and I real...

When is the next HH UKPK run expected?

Newbie here. I just tried posting this but I can't see it anywhere. Sorry it it pops up twice. Does anyone know when/if Spyderco are planning to make the Heinnie Haynes UKPK again? Or any UKPK for that matter? This is the one knife I am waiting for and I keep checking the HH website every day to see...

When is the next HH UKPK run expected?

Hello all - a newbie from the UK here. Please go easy on me! I'm not sure if this is a good place to ask, but does anyone know when the next UKPK production run might go ahead? Especially the Heinnie Haynes special edition with the red G10 scales? Is it actually going to happen or have Spyderco move...
