Re: 1989 Police model
Nice. Thanks. I didn't have the time to look at it too closely that day when I was able to grab a couple pics of it before he left, and didn't examine the medallion. Mea culpa. ;) I wasn't wearing my reading glasses at the time. :) I knew it was a bit short for the Police model with which I'm famili...

1989 Police model
One of the other retired cops with whom I smoke cigars has an older Police model I thought was interesting. He said it was a gift given to him in '89 in his early LAPD days. The blade is marked Hoffritz (vendor?), and no steel is indicated. Just Spyderco and Seki-Japan. Old style all-plastic handle,...

Re: Let’s see some blues
If any of the blue Delica's pictured are the NLEM models, I didn't see the NLEM marking displayed with the National Law Enforcement Museum facing the camera. Police Seal Team commemortives
Remember when that engraver used some of the older Police models to make some commemorative knives (sold commercially) for the different Teams? Again, I no longer have the original box for this Police folder, but I vaguely remember coming across it, among his NIB knives, in a local (now long closed)...

Re: What Model is this?
Hey, thanks. "Pro-Venator light-weight" does ring a bell. I remember choosing the then-new FRN handled version because of the price. I stopped carrying it in the 90's (along with an early Delica with fully serrated blade) and only recently put it back into a carry role. Nowadays the metal-...

What Model is this?
I've had this for many years, but no longer have the box and can't remember the model or production period. I vaguely remember it was the less expensive plastic-handled version of a more expensive model that had a stainless handle. The plastic handle on the left side (without the clip) has a soft te...
