Re: Still The Best Pocketknife Ever
I really like the Chaparral. It actually packs more in nearly the same size knife. However, the DF2 weighs a lot less. The Chap is a heavy weight by comparison. If the Chaparral would lose the liners it would be my favorite. As it is, the DF is king.
Kinda my thoughts as well. I do like the ...

Re: Which Spyderco for a Reliable and Versatile EDC?
Hey everyone,
I'm looking for a Spyderco knife for everyday carry—something reliable, well-balanced between compactness and performance. avis jerkmate I'm currently torn between a few models:
Paramilitary 2: A classic, great ergonomics, but is it too large for certain tasks?
Para 3: More compact ...

Re: Major sleeper- at least for me
I have a pinned version and found that it was a really nice, light weight, slicey knife. recently acquired a CF Cruwear Version. Very nice. Not for people that like to fidget but great for those wanting a solid, good cutting knife.

Re: Crazy Good Deals Part 2!!
White Mountain Knives has the Centofante 3 Carbon Fiber Handle Cru-Wear Blade on sale at the moment for $170 with the coupon CLOSE. Cruwear, Carbon, had to do it.
Looks like they're out of stock, that was a good price!
Indiana knives still has the Centofante III Cruwear for 199. Pretty decent ...

Re: Crazy Good Deals Part 2!!
I just received a Tenacious Disarray from Dack. Less than a month and and a good bit less than I paid elsewhere when it was on sale. If I hadn't recently received a Stretch 2 XL in PD#1, I'd probably jump on that K390!

Re: Blade shapes: Ladybug vs Manbug
Same here. I own some Manbugs, but the Ladybugs seem to find their way into my pocket more often than not. The Hawkbills are attached to every set of car keys I own. That said, I'm waiting for my VG10 Manbug Hawkbill!

Re: Para 3 LW 15V - 3 disappointments, or unrealistic expectations?
Without a doubt, the G10 model is "nicer". That said, I like the FRN Para 3 better for two reasons: 1) Weight, it really is LW compared to G10. 2) The deep carry clip. Hence my walking out of the SFO Saturday with a LW 15V Para 3 in my pocket versus the G10 version. After a long weekend of use ...

Re: Which spyderco is in the mail?
K390 Endela wharncliffe. This is my first foray into non-stainless as well as my very first time handling an Endela, and I'm excited on both fronts.
You will like it. The Endela, especially in K390, it's my preferred lockback EDC. The Wharncliffe is nice too, especially in a SE. Mine has a ...

Re: Crazy Good Deals Part 2!!
I've been coincidentally carrying my G10 Lil Temp quite a bit recently. That's a great price to try an LW. Wish I could find a deal on a K390 and I'd probably pull the buy-button trigger...
As always, this thread is dangerous haha.
Someone else mentioned that $109 Temperance Cruwear ...

Re: Real World User Experience Sharpening CPM 15V
Thanks for asking this, it is exactly the question I came here to ask. I'll add, I have the Brown, White, and Diamond rods. Noy sure if the Diamond are electro plated or not. So, wondering if the CBN are needed? I've noted most, like 98% of these posts, are from folk that like to freehand ...

Re: CPM REX 45 | Edge Performance
I love my Rex 45 Para 3 LW. I've had it going on 3 years I think, and no patina. I wipe it clean after use. Love how easy it is to sharpen and it holds that edge a decent length of time. Same for my N5.

Ain't this one just a solid knife? Love mine, plural!
That's one we hear quite a few people loving around here. Makes me wish I wasn't in my anti frn phase back when it was released. Feels like I missed out on something with that design ...
