I like the idea of new steels, but there's something awesome about it being steel. I'd love to test it, but drop it once and there's no more testing. Try and sharpen it. It'll never be like new in my experience. I know that this High Impact Ceramic is trying to solve some of this, but it's still not...

Maybe sell a 2 knife set for this one. A simple steel like 1095 with dlc coating and without. Same HRC, same edge geometry and all, but one dlc and one without. I'd pay 125-150 for this experience, even more if the steel is better quality. Maybe up to 200 if it's the right steel. You know the ones. ...

It could be cool for a steel like z-max but in general I don’t like the look of a blacked out blade. When you start using them it generally gets worn and scraped off. Then it's probably not DLC. It will get worn and scratched a bit, but in my experience it takes a lot to wear the dlc off of a blade...

Not me, I was so disappointed that I haven't been back here or the website since. Had it in my cart and then had issues with my password. I almost cried. Seriously I was frustrated.

Sal has talked about protos in Rex-121, Vanax, and a 18% tungsten steel. The 18%w steel might be from ZAPP they seem to make a few types. I hope that MT30 ...

What about a lottery system? That would make them more valuable on the secondary market. I personally think that every steel nerd should be able to test their hearts out, but it may work and make them collectibles.

I love the idea of an interactive site where results can be posted.

How about making them available to retailers once they have been on the market for long enough for the enthusiasts to get their share. Or to custom makers. I've seen many many custom MT models on sale just because the maker has made some custom scales.
