Re: SE H2 beats PE Rex121 at edge retention??

As for the Delica SE: I´d NOT go with the VG10 version, since it only comes in sabre grind and with rather aggressive serrations.
The ffg K390 Delicas serrations look really good though.

Yeah, I should have mentioned I was looking at the K390 Delica (and the K390 LeafJumper). I included the ...

Re: SE H2 beats PE Rex121 at edge retention??

To me a good (Spyderco) serrated edge works better or at least not worse in almost any EDC task than PE - the key word here is "good" , "shallow", "non aggressive" SE (recommendations of which I do know that they offer that type of SE: Endela SE; Chaparral SE, Stretch XL SE; Caribbean SE (from ...

Re: 15V UKPK

Yes. Yes. YES!!!

I think 15V is an awesome steel. I have it in a Manix, but when I go outside the house I always carry a UKPK (don't want to run the risk of any locking knife I'm carrying getting confiscated). So a UKPK in 15V would be very welcome.

Re: Crucarta UKPK?

I'm also interested in a UKPK with micarta scales, I would definitely buy one, maybe two.

But I'm not sure if Cru-Wear makes much sense. A UKPK is not a hard use knife, so doesn't need the toughness. I think a steel with higher edge retention and/or high edge stability (so it can support low edge ...

Re: Poll: Which Golden Model Do You Want to See in 15V Next?

I voted for the UKPK. We already have a nice selection of steels available in the UKPK, but no tool steels yet. A 15V UKPK would be awesome!

The Manix 2 in 15V can currently be pre-ordered at Lamnia for less than 176 Euros, definitely the best price in Europe. The next delivery is supposed to arrive on March 8th.
Pre-order? I don't see any button for pre-order, and it now says "Out of stock. Delivery time currently unknown".

Re: POLL: Shape of "Standard Mule" MT28P2

I was disappointed when I first saw the standard mule. I don't like a straight spine, that's the reason why I don't EDC my PM2 much. I don't like straight spines because of a cutting technique I use regularly: upside down where you're squeezing the tip in between 2 materials, e.g. plastic wrapping ...

Re: MT38P - M398 Mule Team Release!

I can't be online at that moment :worried
I'm not having much luck with these last mules, I was on vacation when the REX76 mule dropped, now I already have an appointment that I don't want to miss and can't reschedule.
I hope I can get someone else to order it for me ...

Beautiful new scales from Hazy Design Studio on Etsy. I really like the feel of these scales in my hand. Excuse the quick snap and dirty mat.

Nice! They look really classy.
Are these scales flat or contoured?

Re: UKPK LC200N

I like yellow more better
So my dilemma right now is; do I rush out and get a yellow LC200N while still in stock, or.... does this color harmonizing mean there is a yellow UKPK Magnacut somewhere down the pipeline

Re: CPM REX 76, CPM REX T15, AND M398 and MT2!

Wow, 4 mules revealed at once. Seems like my remaining budget for the year has been allocated :woozy .
I only wish the regular production mule did not have a straight spine. I prefer a slightly (downwards) curved spine which works better for the cutting style I use on some of my cutting tasks.

I'm ...

Re: UKPK Magnacut?

I recently got a S110V UKPK and I really like it. I will probably also buy the salt version soon. If it has Magnacut, all the better.

I do think that Spyderco should release the UKPK in Magnacut (salt or not) because people that have restrictive knife laws are generally also restricted in steel ...

Leaf blade, hap40/sus10, pakkawood (im looking at you KC)

That would be an instant buy for me too! Though I think REX45 would be more likely to happen.

The limit of 1 per household is not stopping the flippers. There's one listed on ebay for $200 while it's still in stock on the spyderco website :grin-smiling-eyes

20 minutes in and still available. With previous mule teams (except magnacut) they were all gone by now. So demand must be much lower now.
Or the limit 1 per customer is working as intended?
Possible, but then I would not expect the website to be this smooth.
