Re: Stretch 2 XL in grey G10 and CruWear steel!
:-|| Mine has some edge damage from the lanyard tube as well. I'd eat it if it wasnt a $300 knife. But in this case I think I'll be sending it to warranty for a replacement. Bummer. I'd be interested to know if it is fixable under warranty, or if the fix will need to be a CQI in the future. Mine ha...

Re: Stretch 2 XL in grey G10 and CruWear steel!
Oh man. This knife was instantly filtered out as a non-interesting knife to me when it was announced. I haven't even looked at this thread until today, after I saw it in a KC video. For its size it just looked so nimble. And while the blade is stupidly large, the handle seems barely larger than a r...

Re: Hey Sal, any chance of a Vanax SC mule??
Reviving an old thread to wonder if we will ever see a Vanax mule? Hardly anyone is using it and it is quite desirable. Yes, it is expensive. Yes, LC200N and Magna Cut are amazing. I would love to have a tiny surfing knife made from this steel. “Surfing knife” you say? Yes! There may be a time when...

Re: Stretch 2 XL in grey G10 and CruWear steel!
Unfortunately mine has developed some blade wrap. Spotted a chip towards a tip. Lanyard tube inside has distinct markings where the blade has landed. Idk if I should keep it and try and mod the tube or send it in. I like the knife but it was 280$. Hope it's not the model and just mine. Mine actuall...

Re: Stretch 2 XL in grey G10 and CruWear steel!
I just want to add that I like the way this knife feels and the action. It's not perfect, but overall one of the better purchases I have made. When I got the stretch xl, just holding it in my hand I thought that it would be great in g10.

Going to be a similar analogue to maxamet. I believe it ditches the cobalt. Should cut like mad.

Re: MT22P - RWL34 Sharpening experience needed
I looks like you are all good now, but I suggest "cutting" or flattening the apex on stones and then another sharpening. What you saw looks and sounds like fatigued steel to me. I think with normal sharpenings the edge would produce better results for you. With rwl34 you 15 degrees and les...

Re: Elastic Ceramic. Wow!
I have a barracuda? I believe the model is called. I enjoy the knife. It is different. I am used to 10 degree edges in kitchen knives though.
Roman, do you think it is possible to even strop the HIC knives back to sharp. Or possibly touch up on a strop to maintain the edge?

Photo on my phone of a mule and the HRC tester. Sent to me by a prominent steel tester. It will possibly vary of course.
