Re: My K390 Love Affair/Sal Request

I'd buy a k390 shaman. Or a military. And either one in LC200N while we're at it!

Re: Forest Green Diamond Arc PM2+P3

It's all preference mate. Some people's hands fit one size better than the other, some people prefer the slightly sturdier tip and smaller carry profile of the para 3, and some people prefer more grip options, the deeper carry pocket clip position, and blade length the pm2 has to offer. Other than t...

Re: LiL native s90v ?????

Mine came in today from M&D. Fast service there if anyone questions them in the future. Everything looks good - centering is spot on, cf is beautiful, the spine and hole are sharper than the bead blasted S30V version but aren't razor sharp at all. Action isnt drop shut out of the box, but it wil...

Re: How many is too many?

My initial plan to slow myself down was to picture different use cases, and to only keep the knife that would fill the needs of each the best. That didn't work. I just kept coming up with more uses, and found some that worked just as well as another for it's use but provided enough of a different ex...

Re: I'm having an issue with US made Spydies

+1 for the soldering iron method. My Zwear had no thread locker. Pivot screw backs itself out over time. Trying to let it break in more before I apply some blue myself.

Re: Blade Play

Honestly ive had several comp locks that were perfect out of the box but several that also were either too tight, had poor centering, a pivot screw that would continuously back out, or had side to side play. The worst were my caribbean, g10 rex45 shaman, and Zwear shaman. All I do is use the knife a...

Re: Which one will dominate?

Spy27 is a modification of VG10. I think its possible to see it on the range of golden models as sprints or even production if it proves popular enough, but I think it makes more sense to upgrade their VG10 & BD1N with this stuff. It doesn't cut as long as sxxv class steels but it sharpens and t...

Re: Z-Wear Shaman Thoughts & Comparison Pics

Outpost76 said he saw a couple different people test theirs at 64HRC but the date codes are over a 5 month window so not sure if that's how they all are or not. I've got no idea who he's following that tested theirs. I've been looking.

Re: Lube

Benchmade blue lube seems like mineral oil with some blue coloring in it to me. And considering I can pick up a quart of mineral oil for 3$ and a tiny dropper bottle of blue lube is 13$... both dry up faster than 3in1 or KPL.

Re: S90V compared to REX45

Both are very wear resistant, but by different mechanisms. Rex45 has a high hardness matrix while s90v has a very high vanadium carbide count (the hardest type) in an average hardness matrix. In my experience rex45 will suffer less edge damage against hard materials like copper, hard woods, brass, b...

Re: Z-Wear Shaman lookout thread

Caught one from SMKW. Refreshed here, then ran down my tabs just in a spare moment at work. Saw SMKW in stock about 5 mins before it was posted here. Seems like as soon as it hits this page they get snatched. Keep refreshing and don't give up folks.
