Re: Rex 76 mule. Who got one?
I got one ordered within 5 minutes of it going live. Super stoked for this steel. I hope it's even more durable than one of my favorite steels, REX45.

Re: SRS13/SUS405 Performance Thread
I've been using my SRS13/SUS405 in the kitchen as well. It's a great knife and I haven't sharpened it yet but it's starting to lose its sharpness. I'm not sure what angle to sharpen it at. I've had the same experience with the rusting on the Spyderco logo.

Re: MT32P - SRS13/SUS405 Mule Team - Release Date
This was the smoothest the site has been for ordering mules thus far. Whatever optimizations you made to the order process worked! I'm very excited to test this mule in the kitchen!
Thanks, Sal, Kristi, and the team!

Re: Spyderco Reveal Update
Kristi, can you tell us which social media channels specifically? Which channel gets priority over others? Will releases be revealed in the forum in tangent, like mules as well?

Re: Elastic Ceramic. Wow!
I sharpened one of mine tonight. No need for films if you have diamond stones IMO. I kept it at the factory angle and just ran it over 800 and 1200 grit Venev stones. Even with the relatively obtuse factory angle it feels much sharper now. If it holds up I'll lay the edge back a bit next time and s...

Re: Elastic Ceramic. Wow!
I feel the same way as Tom. Mine are going strong too. They have become our favorite kitchen knives. My wife accidentally cut her finger last week using one and normally would shy away from a knife but she loves it. I was going to order some of that film to sharpen but it still seems unnecessary as ...

Re: Elastic Ceramic. Wow!
I would reach out to them. I waiting a while and then decided to reach out. After I reached out, my order shipped within a few days. It took about 2 months for me to get my order overall.

Re: Manix 2
I prefer a Manix 2. I think the ergonomics is better than the PM2. I have a few of them but my favorite and workhorse is Manix 2 LW in Rex45. This knife is very easy to keep sharp and stays that way for a while. It's easy and fun to flip as well.

Re: Elastic Ceramic. Wow!
I've been lurking around and actually purchased a few of these a few weeks ago. I was skeptical especially after seeing the rope cut video. This material is the real deal and I'm extremely impressed. Someone else mentioned the phenomenon of the knife not feeling sharp to the touch. That has been my ...

I'm so sad I missed out on the K390. I love the Smock platform and hope to own more as well. It would be so awesome to see a Smock in MagnaCut.

What's so special about REX45? Everywhere I look, knives made out of it have a little extra premium on price.

Re: Who got a Z-Max?
I was able to snag one. I had a bolteron sheath in my cart but the transaction went through and didn't have the issue others had. Good on Spyderco for making it 1 per household, I would have bought a second as well if I could. Hats off also to Sal for not gouging this as he easily could. Maybe he wa...

Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. Now I need to buy a buffing wheel for my bench grinder and some linseed oil. I hope that will do the trick.

Re: Making a Mule Handle (step-by-step)
Wow, I had no idea that the scales were actually stabilized like that before. I was planning on trying to make my first mule scales from some wood off a tree in my yard. Thanks for the advice of boiling it in linseed oil. Would you do this after shaping the scales or before?
