I think my 1-4 is pretty set. At #5 things get tricky (I listed 3)
1) Military 2
2) Police 4 LW
3) Manix 2 G10/LW
4) Sage 5 LW
5) Lil' Temperance 3 LW OR Para 3 LW OR Endela LW Wharncliffe

I'm lucky I live in CO. I've hiked at least 500-700 miles with the P4 K390 LW in my pocket. I've done a good bit of landscaping in the summer heat. I've sweat all over it. I wipe it down occasionally. I oil it max once a year. I barely have a patina and I got it when they first came out.

I'd prefer partial liners. I can feel the liners flex and it's annoying. I also think a little more weight would improve the balance. That said, I can see why linerless/Salt options make sense and help differentiate from the Endura 4, Police 4 etc.

Discontinue Sage 5, Sage 6, Para 3, Para 3 LW and replace with Para 3 LW Enhanced - Para 3 LW with liners, pivot bushings, and button (like the Sage 6).

Elmax is a cool name and it would come in a different color so I’d probably buy one. Beyond that, I hate sharpening so I have no interest in S30V level edge performance.

Your wife should have several self defense options prior to the knife.
Avoiding the situation
Long distance running
Gun
Mace
Taser
Etc.
Knife/baton/fists should usually be the last resort for someone who is at a disadvantage and being attacked.

90%+ Spyderco. There are a few other brands/designs I'd like to try. Every time I'm thinking about buying a microtech, for example, I end up buying 2 Spyderco's instead lol

Forest green is very tempting! If it were coated/blacked out I wouldn't hesitate for a second.

Military 2 LW or a P4 LW with a compression lock

Really torn between the police and the stretch. Haven’t had a chance to handle either of them. Can only afford one. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I really like the PM2 if that helps anyone in their suggestions. Also big FOMO if I keep waiting on the stretch which looks like it’s coming out ...

Black micarta... I could have been convinced with a color other than black/brown... I really hope they put out some more interesting micarta colors in the future.
