To my knowledge, Miyabi uses SG2 and FC61. Neither would be considered the equivalent of ZDP-189.

Miyabi Birch series uses SG2 (or an analog of it). Their Black series uses ZDP (or an analog they market as “MC66”.)

I think I spent two minutes on the first hole, then realized by the second and third that 20-30 seconds was all it took with a cheap-o round needle file. At least in my case the left over tab was confined to the softer cladding and didn’t reach the core. This minor imperfection aside, I am impressed...

I'm not sure what would it bring to the table that the Delica 4 and Salt 2 do not offer. I have to wonder how many folks would still want a knife with an integral FRN clip. Not to mention the Kraton insert in the handle, since that material has proven itself prone to disintegrate after a few years ...
