Re: Change scales on Paramilitary 2

Without trying to be mean, do it yourself. It is just a few screws take your time. A simple google search will show you how if you are still unsure. I linked a video to make it easier on you if you could not find something to help you. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=bUZVCIGBn5o&pp=ygUYSG93IHRvIGN...

Re: Triangle rods vs new Profile Stones as travel sharpeners

I use the Worksharp Guided Field Sharpener. It is diamond (coarse/fine), ceramic rod for SE, leather strop and guides to give you a rough angle. It would not hurt my feelings if Spyderco made something like this. https://www.worksharptools.com/shop/benchtop/manual/guided-field-sharpener/ IMG_5626.jp...

Re: Can we get some Ultem scaled Sekis please?

I am still a big fan of natural wood scales. Probably not the best for a hard use knife and they tend to be a bit slick. G10 and FRN work better in hand than wood, but wood sure look good.

I am sure there is a place for Ultem, but everyone has their priorities.

Re: Upping the price.

Could be a blessing in disguise. Chances are if you're on this forum, you've already got more than enough knives in your collection to keep you busy/happy as it is...you just don't know it yet. Based on the poll that was going around a couple weeks ago, the amount of people scooping up 15+ knives a...

Re: Upping the price.

IMO Sal can charge whatever he wants for his knives and I will still buy them. Granted it might be a lot less every year, but if I need a knife it will be a Spyderco knowing it will last me. This is coming more from a more of a user than collector stand point. If you need the Manix in every steel an...

Re: Upping the price.

Can’t blame Spyderco for inflation, but I was looking at a receipt on the Golden Stone I bought in 2021 and they are double the price now! If you really look at all the other expenses in life you’ll see a lot of it has gone up massively the last few years and we are being lied to about what the act...

Re: Hi guys and gals been a while

Do you know a good site where I could list it? I would like it to go to one of the forms members. It's is was discontinued many years ago and I want it to go to to someone who will appreciate it. Thank you If you have some friends still on the forum from when you were on before you could try to con...

Re: Upping the price.

Personally I blame Sal and Spyderco. If they only made 2 or 3 good knives this would be easy. But they had to go and make hundreds of knives that I want, totally their fault and they knew what they were doing.

Hi William,

I looked for it but couldn't find it. I've been having some issues with the Spyderco email address.

I just sent you an email.

Re: Upping the price.

Hi Ladybug, I'm not disputing you. Just messin' with you. ;) As mentioned, these are tough times financially for all. We get a decent salary, but we're feeling it as well. Solution? Beats the **** outa me? But I don't see it getting better in the near future. Seems like everything from Politics to ...

Re: Upping the price.

It seems that this isn't really a debate on pricing itself, but rather the debate of personally perceived value for the price you're paying, out of individual bias in comparison to other options available to the market within a certain price point, coupled with your overall preferences. There are (...

Re: Upping the price.

I was just looking at a dlc military 2 and the price was $225. Now it’s $250! I have about 50 Spyderco knives and have been collecting for 25 years. The prices have went up multiple times in the last 5 years. I understand inflation and what companies do to stay afloat but it is getting a bit carrie...

Re: Upping the price.

Sal, That is great to hear, I buy Spyderco because I know it is a quality knife. If I wanted a cheap knife, I would not buy a Spyderco so don't lower the quality to make them cheaper, plenty of Chinese companies doing that. Talking real world, a $150-$200 Spyderco can last a lifetime for many people...

Hi Born, I carried an Alcyone 2 prototype with a Compression lock yesterday. Today I'll be carrying a Polestar 2 prototype. Tomorrow I'll be carrying a prototype 4.0" version I call "Deep Space" (TM). They all have Compression Locks and Carbon Fiber scales. sal I have had the Alcyone...

Re: Upping the price.

Sal, I also think there is something missing in your equation when you calculate your final price, Spyderco’s customer service and experience. It is something not tangible but can have a massive impact on your customer base. Spyderco employees interact directly with their customers in positive ways,...
