Re: MagnaMax wish list
I was thinking today about this steel, what do you think the handle color designation will be?
Should we expect this steel to also get designated as a Salt steel?
Honestly I would love to see it in the DLC/grooved G10 theme, I can't get enough of that combo.

Re: Spyderco Catalogue to be mailed when?
Hard-copy catalogs are still around, and 2026 mailings should start going out very soon.
Thanks for your interest!
Kristi
Any idea if Reveal #20 will be included if you requested the 2026 Catalog? I have requested the catalog, but I have not seen a place to request Reveal #20.

As always thanks for all the input. I ended up going with the Endura CE VG10 Saberground and I love it. Extremely tough knife that will do anything I need plus take some abuse if needed.

It pairs nicely with my original Endura PE I got 30+ years ago.

Re: Spyderco Delivered and Upcoming *discussion*
It's tough hearing Maxamet is also going to be hard to get, it's one of my favorite steels on a smaller/mid-sized knife. Might have to pick up a Manix LW Maxamet if i see one at the right price.

Re: Oddball blade steels
Brian offered some wise advice in that; Any color might be offensive and a deal breaker for some ELU's. So any color would be good, but also offer black?
sal
I would not say any color would be good, but no color would be horrible. I would stay more muted, natural, neutral. I love the idea of a ...

Re: Prices OMG Seriously?
Even if I complain and cringe on this forum, and when I push the ‘buy’ button, it is pretty unlikely that I will miss out on the REX121 Chap. Ultimately, I personally don’t know of another company that has the kind of access to the owner like this forum. Sal takes some pretty good shots and stays ...

Thanx for dropping in. Always appreciate your cmments.

Re: Prices OMG Seriously?
I also look at this topic in two ways:
-OMG the $570 price on the Sage 6 REX-122 is pretty high.
But also:
OMG the $221 price on the Manix 2 Salt DLC Magnact seems so low for what you’re getting.
My point being, as I mentioned before, Spyderco does a great job at making a great knife at most ...

Re: Prices OMG Seriously?
I agree with everyone, the prices on some of these models seem a bit crazy. I thought the Sage 5 REX-121 LW at $340 MSRP was a bit steep, but awesome steel and probably worth it. Then the Starmate at $450 MSRP seemed even higher. And now the Sage 6 REX-121 came out with a $570 MSRP.

Re: Prices OMG Seriously?
My only question is why a PM2 REX-121 is $265, while the Sage 6 REX-121 is $427? That’s a large price difference and not sure why.
I have a Sage 5 LW REX-121 and it’s well with the price for that steel.
Because the PM2 is a dealer exclusive and dealers get to set those table prices. Dealers ...

Another great job, the PM2 LW in 15V definitely caught my eye. It's also nice to see more REX-121, I guess Sal bought everything they had before it was too late.
