Yes with stickies for beginners. My issue with mega threads is finding pertinent information. Also, part the magic of a forum is the dialogue. I hate (but understand) the response “use the search feature”.

I got my maple Chap from Sooner State Knives. Had to pay for shipping but communication was great.

I like that several here discovered a love for knives because they found a lost one as children. I think that is a small comfort when a favorite knife disappears, the best you can hope for is the love of a new home.

Ack, I succumbed.

My first was a SAK around 7, I got a bigger folder at 9 with thumb studs, and a nicer Gerber at 12 that I carried all of high school and college. I recall cutting myself within an hour with the folder, but that was the only time that knife bit me. They were always presented as tools with a purpose.

They sold out instantly of course. I just feel like for that amount of money I'd just buy a Spydiechef and save myself 165 bones.

I like the teal, definitely over the regular black. I would absolutely buy one, probably because of the color. Granted I like the Blue KnifeJoy Para 3 LW better.
