Re: Seki City back lock quality in 2022?
Try tightening the body screws. I thought some of my Seki models had lock rock but it was because the body screws weren’t tight enough, none of the screws came with loctite on them.

Re: Upping the price.
Can’t blame Spyderco for inflation, but I was looking at a receipt on the Golden Stone I bought in 2021 and they are double the price now! If you really look at all the other expenses in life you’ll see a lot of it has gone up massively the last few years and we are being lied to about what the actu...

Re: Swayback purchase
Now you just have to replace the ugly clip. I put the non-deep carry MXG clip on mine and it matches the handle much better and carries like a dream. Super clean and classy knife that cuts like a dream.

Re: Why no deep carry pocket clip?
Most knife companies have figured out that the people want a deep carry pocket clip. I'm sure this has been covered before, but why on earth doesn't Spyderco manufacture a deep carry clip and provide them with each knife? I can only count a few knives overall that their regular clip is more advanta...

Re: UKPK Salt now in Magnacut!
i don't have a ukpk yet and have been considering picking one up for a while. this might just push me over the edge. i'm definitely more looking forward to the magnacut manix, but this will be great for traveling to more restrictive areas. I got one so I can carry a knife in Germany. It is really c...

Re: My blade nearly fell out!
It’s not just Seki, My UKPK Salt I just got had no loctite on the pivot when I got it and it was loosening. A dab of loctite and tuning it to the right tightness made the centering and action very good. I’ve had an Endela come w/o loctite and nearly had the pivot come out, but noticed the blade itse...

Re: Spydiechef and Swayback questions
The swayback is fine, it’s just super fine tuned. If you have any pressure on the lock bar it will be difficult to open. I have xxl sausage fingers and have no issues opening mine.

Re: Vehicle knife
Never tell anyone or have in writing that a knife is for self defense. There are a lot of prosecutors that would try to victim blame you and jail you for life. Just look at the ringer they tried to run that bodega clerk through in New York.

Lol, the Autonomy 2 has a perfect handle size. I have thick sausage fingers and wear XL-XXL gloves and I still have room on the handle.

The Seki lockback models tend to have lockrock, I have an Endura and Endela and the Endura has some play.

Probably like 75%, but I almost always carry a spyderco. Soon to have a Case added to the carry lineup to test out their Magnacut Marilla since I don’t usually carry my Mule around.

Re: I don't understand automatics.
On a model that's ordinarily a two-hand opener, such as a Buck 110, automatic opening can make sense. Autos have a fun fidget factor for some. In all other ways, models with Spyderholes are superior, ymmv. If you’ve ever been in a situation where your hands are cold and numb, or you are wearing thi...

Re: Chinese Centering
This thread caused me to check all my Byrds and I gotta say that centering on them is pretty dang good. My least centered Spyderco is my serrated LC200N PacSalt 2 which actually ain't all that bad, either. My CaraCara 2 isn’t bad, but it has a slightly warped blade that isn’t very noticeable. My ex...
