I have xxl hands with sausage fingers, with my first 2 fingers all the way forward the hump still stabs into my middle finger if I don’t sand it down.

SPY27 if a non-salt, LC200N as long as it’s a salt.

Maybe a different steel variant would have more people interested?
Perhaps! Let's cross our fingers!

Re: Lucky that I´m a Seki-guy...
Seki's FRN has that quite interesting weight, texture and grip combo which Golden polymer variants doesn't (Seki's Endelas/DFs vs Golden Natives/Manixes LW I have). Endelas of mine has the same grip but little sensitivity to wear/polish vs G10.
Seki FRN on the models with steel liners is so good ...

Re: Prices OMG Seriously?
I also look at this topic in two ways:
-OMG the $570 price on the Sage 6 REX-122 is pretty high.
But also:
OMG the $221 price on the Manix 2 Salt DLC Magnact seems so low for what you’re getting.
My point being, as I mentioned before, Spyderco does a great job at making a great knife at most ...

Re: Prices OMG Seriously?
I was wondering what people were complaining about until I saw the price of the new G10 UKPK salt, $100 more than the G10 SPY27 UKPK. Guess I’m sticking to my Spydiechef.

Re: Siren: flawed design or am I just dumb
It’s definitely one you have to be careful with since it doesn’t have a choil or heel like most of the other lock backs. I wouldn’t call it a design flaw, just that it’s purpose built and needs to be treated differently than Spyderco’s other lock backs.

Re: European Spyderco Owners: your opinions wanted
I’m an American living in Europe, laws vary wildly and you really should research them prior to carrying anything wherever you’re going to be to avoid potential issues. Generally in Germany you can have non-locking knives or a locking knife that requires 2 hands to open, except in some cities on the ...

I prefer the comp lock how it is now, I doubt I’d like my M2 as much if it was set up as a button comp.

Re: So Why Is A Knife A Factory Second?
I’ve gotten a Spy27 UKPK lightweight from the factory that should have been a 2nd from what people listed. The FRN scale post that holds the spring had a bunch of extra material causing massive gapping. I had to take it apart and shave the material off with a razor blade.

Re: Destroyed Pants
Depends on the knife, my Seki knives usually require a little bit of sanding along the spine of the blade to knock off sharp edges that bite pocket fabric when they are tip up.

Re: Out of stock on purpose
The real conspiracy is Spyderco’s refusal to make me a Military 2 with OCP scales, the Army hasn’t worn digicam ACU’s in almost 10 years.

Re: Hear me out guys, the dark side isn’t always bad.
I've fully made the switch. I will still argue that there's pros and cons of tip up and down, and that it's really more about what you prefer to deal with than any real world advantage or disadvantage. I've even swapped all my Military 2 clips for deep carry clips and I don't have any problems ...

Hear me out guys, the dark side isn’t always bad.
I’ve had my Military 2 for a couple months now, and it is the first knife I’ve preferred tip down. Weight wise it noticeably sits better in the pocket, and it’s easier to get into position when pulling it out.

Funny interaction with the Spyderco shipping team
I was going through my collection and found one of my old shipping inserts and thought I’d share. I usually write stuff in the special instructions and the shipping team responded and gave me a good chuckle.

Re: Price point….
Ever since MAP was enacted, I really can't afford most of the knives. I just get the Value Line (Resillience, Tenacious), a LW model (Para 3 LW) or a Byrd brand knife (Cara Cara 2 G10)
The byrd line knives have awesome handle designs, if they had the Seki FRN and blade thickness I’d buy more ...

A lot of knives will get that, you need to add loctite to the pivot screw.Palestrina wrote: ↑Sun Feb 09, 2025 1:21 amGoing to revive this thread with a question/problem.
It seems like over time the pivot screw loosens up. Is this something any of you have experienced as well?

Re: Seki FRN lightweight pivot D-bolt washers
They probably stop the scale from cracking from over tightening that pivot screw. I have one on my Endela but not my Endura. Not sure how they decide when they use them.
