Re: The upcoming Salt 2 ffg: Spydercos (Mini-) Bugout alternative and more? Perfect ultralight hiking knife?

Thank you very much, I think I will. But one thing is itching me. I really really like your “hyker” mod and maybe want to try that. But don’t have the nerves yet. Maybe in the future. I have a lot of woodworking experience, but none with steel so I’ll probably try it first with some cheap supermarke...

Ah yes great! Forgot to mention that I have zero blade play or lock rock, how hard I try it's super solid. Quite lucky with that I think.

Re: The upcoming Salt 2 ffg: Spydercos (Mini-) Bugout alternative and more? Perfect ultralight hiking knife?

Finally got mine today, and it’s a hit, I’m hooked so far! First of all, the weight. It’s really lightweight but still sturdy and feels like a solid built knife unlike the knife that were comparing it with (that one feels cheap in my opinion). Second, it’s thin. Like really thin. The serrations make...

Big bummer, it’s stuck in the mail for a few days already and looks like it will take some time.

Still my most favorite steel and carry next to the recently acquired Chaparral. But also can’t wait to receive my sailing and summer carry, the Salt 2 ffg SE. Unfortunately the shipment tracking is still stuck after a couple of days and waiting feels long...

Both SE and PE are back in stock again at Lamnia, just got a notification mail. I'm still waiting for mine to arrive, GLS is not the quickest to ship with.

Re: Salt 2 ffg LC200N now available in Europe!

Yep only the SE with just 1 left. But that was also the one I intended to buy in the first place, so perfect. Looking forward to receive it! Funny thing, I signed up for an in-stock notification on Lamnia a few days ago but never got one. Your topic made me hurry to the website, so thanks for that!...

Added to my post above: But just ONE more they say... Nope, that one is mine now! Got a surprise on my tax returns, basically making my last buys disappear plus a little bit extra :D I wanted to wait on the SE but now I couldn’t resist it (again, lol). Great that you got one! :) But: It was actuall...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

Please don’t do that, my wallet won’t like it haha. But yeah, this design in a larger knife and as thin as it is, would also be a dream. Great advice btw about using it. That’s the reason I also bought the FRN (I want to keep the maple one more a gents knife), just to “abuse” it and use it hard. Fro...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

https://i.imgur.com/NDZy29M.jpg Couldn’t resist to get the FRN Chap next to the Birdseye Maple for a more sturdy EDC (don’t want to ruin the wooden scales, and being a little more careful with it). The Chap is just insane, carried it all day and I wish I bought it earlier. It’s so freakin’ sharp wi...
