Re: Remove Loctite from G10

It is counterproductive to use loctite on pocket clip screws on knives advertised as a four-way clip position capable knives. It would be kinda better to include the clip and screws separately in a zip-lock bag and let the owner decide where to install the clip. The other two options would be to us...

Re: Elastic Ceramic

The question for the possibility or impossibility to sharpen this material came into my mind too. I think it may be possible, that it maybe could be possible to sharpen. I imagine that with that elasticity the main problem (micro chips) could be eliminated (see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDoWZ...

Roman Kase, the maker, is doing some amazing, and truly innovative work.

Definitely worth checking out his website if you're not familiar with him.

Thanks for the link. Never have heard of him before the video.

Elastic Ceramic

Cedric & Ada Gear and Outdoors just posted a video with a ceramic knife that lacks one of the big drawbacks of ceramic knives. It's elastic. Sounds quite interesting in my opinion.

Re: Cru-wear TiCN dragonfly exclusive

Got mine in over lunch. Kudos to IndianaKnives for lightning fast shipping! But I gotta say, I’m not too happy with this one. Not at the price I paid. Lots of small chipping around edges of carbon fiber and around two screw cutouts. One scale is slightly warped away from the liners creating a gap. ...

The knife with, in my opinion, the best slicer to price ratio you can get. I like it and use it :)

You may want to change the thread title or make a new one as this valuable information about Bonvu might get overlooked.

Good call. Thanks.

Re: Shipping from SMKW to Europe

Just an info for those, who find this and are interested in my experience with Bonvu: I used the service for two different orders, that have been combined and sent to me in one package. Since one shop only accepted payment, that was not accessible for me, I even used the service, that Bonvu buys the...

Re: Why did you join?

I came here, because the Spyderco website told me, this is a good place to ask questions and post pictures of suspect knives.
Since then, I read and learned a lot.
My input is pretty low, but nonetheless I enjoy the friendly environment here.

Re: Best way to sell Spyderco knives

In another thread in this forum >>bladeforums.com<< had been mentioned. If I recall correctly you need a paid membership to sell there but if you need money fast this was named to be the best way. If time is no concern >>ebay<< was said to be the platform, where you should get the most money on aver...

For me, the vast variety of different steels and the reputation for a good heat treatment have been the factors that made me to take a look into Spyderco.

Re: The RIT dye thread

Good idea for a thread, since I just started, three days ago, thinking about dying scales, that I don't own yet. I'm super excited for the UKPK slat but not so much about the yellow handle color. So I thought about dying and seeing the results here I'm even more excited about the UKPK.

Re: Most underappreciated steel?

Out of the three in voting: I don't know, never have used 14c28n, so I can't talk about it. In general: S30V or S35VN. I listed both because they are so similar, that in real live the only difference I could notice is the name. That said, I fell like the S30V might be a little more underappreciated ...

Re: Switch Gamers

The Lynel's especially. I finally got the Guardians down. But, I always feel like I'm using underpowered gear and armor. If you come close to a Lynel you can ride it for a short period of time. While on its back you can deal damage without getting hit. With a bow you could put an arrow right in its...

Re: Switch Gamers

I have bought a used but as good as new Switch as a present for my girlfriend in the summer of 2018. It was the Super Mario Odyssey edition with both Joy Cons in red. Of course Super Mario Odyssey was also included. All in all the Switch came with 5 games, but I'm not 100% sure which games exactly. ...

Re: Why are so many people concerned with perfect blade centering?

I think it has become important for so many people, because you can very easily check if the blade is centered or not. Just look at the knife, and you actually see it with our own eyes. That's very handy if you make a video on YouTube. And to be honest a centered blade looks better than something of...

I hesitated a long time because I'm fairly new to this forum but hey, I own Spyderco products so why not try to get one more.
I don't know if this is self-evident or not but in case I would win, I will pay the shipment cost.

Re: Oh no...

No, automatic knives are not illegal per se. Böker and many other dealers do sell automatic knives in Germany. Just models with blades shorter than 8,5cm. OTFs and butterflies/balisongs are per se illegal, independant of the blade length. Not sure about balisong trainers, but probably the are ok si...
