Re: Shipping from SMKW to Europe

I never have bought any knife outside the European Union. I was always too cowardly because, in my mind, the customs authority (is that the right word?) would knock at my door and ask why I bought a weapon, even if the knife in question is completely legal here. I think I will try Bonvu.com and if e...

Re: Shipping from SMKW to Europe

So, I called them, and unfortunately they told me that they don't ship to any country inside the European Union. But still thanks for the suggestion, it was worth a try. So, there again is the question, if anyone here has any experience with "BONVU.COM". The service that they offer is basi...

Shipping with Bonvu to Europe

Hi, I found a knife, but not Spyderco, related item that is only available on "smkw.com". Or at least I have not found it somewhere else. Unfortunately they only ship inside the USA, and I'm from Germany. So I found "BONVU.COM" and now I'm wondering if anyone here has any experie...

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???

photo_2021-02-04_08-18-18.jpg Ah, the ZT 0350. Still one of the best looking knives out there, in my opinion. There is just something about "high", slightly recurve blades. And I personally find the ergonomics on this very nice. It just fits my hand. Somehow I find, that it even fits a le...

I'm a lefty as well, and you are right, the scissors are great even for us. But the best thing about the scissors, in my opinion, are the thin blades. They are really useful for precise cuts.

Re: Happy Index Finger?

Assume that testing for heat near the grind with the "can I hold my finger on it for three seconds" method will keep the heat treat safe... Y'know how when you're grinding, come flying off the edge of the work? So that's the temperature right at the edge. When freehand grinding, keep a ca...

Re: Victorinox photo and discussion thread!

I edc'd one exclusively for 32 years. They're a great knife! I have to admit, I'm not that long into knives, that there would be the possibility, that I could edc any knife that long. And if I'm completely honest, the most used tool might actually be the scissors and then the actual knives. Most of...

My huntsman with my etched in initials. Not the prettiest job ever done, but it was my first try in etching. This knife is a true EDC for me at least for the past 5 years.

Re: Caribbean DIY scale mod AKA How to (Almost) ruin a Caribbean

That's something different, than the usual scales. Not my cup of tea but I appreciate the bravery to start a project. I myself have some plans on modding scales, but I'm too cowardly to pull the trigger and start. There is always the feeling, I forgot something very important that will bite me when ...

Re: A knife gifted you'd never let go

My parents gave it to me and the same one to my brother. I can't remember how old we have been, but I know, I was surprised that we received knives in such a young age (maybe 10 years old?). Later my dad taught me how to sharpen knives with this knife. Skip forward a few years and this knife was the...

Re: Bleach FRN?

Here it is next to a basically unused Pacific salt. The pics arent good but you should be able to see the color difference. How long did you carry it? I quite like the more gentle yellow. That is getting more towards the color I would like. I think it would take a long time to get it to that color....

Re: My first PM 2 but is it real or fake?

Thank you for your input as well. I appreciate that you took your time to compare my knife with your knife, as well as the box and responded to my post. I'm sorry for my persistence with the box, although I already had confirmation for the knife but this is a expensive knife for me and I just wanted...

Re: My first PM 2 but is it real or fake?

Thanks for your time to take a look at the pictures, compare them with your knife and reply to my post, I really appreciate that. At first, I only compared the knife with the videos and pictures I found online, and I was fairly certain that the knife is either real or a very good fake. But then I ch...

Hard to tell if the sprint run title is for both or just the Phoenix It is regular production. ;) Great news. The Cru PM2 and the Salt UKPK are definite...

My first PM 2 but is it real or fake?

Hi, I need your help with my (hopefully) Spyderco PM 2. I'm not sure if the knife in question is legit or fake, because I only have a few YouToube videos and some posts on forums as a source. I know, only sending the knife to Spyderco will give a 100% result but I live in Germany and the shipping wo...
