Re: Blog Entry: Most Bizarre Spyderco Knives
My vote goes to the new Swayback; at least to me it looks upside down. The end of the handle sweeps up instead of down, the end of the blade sweeps down instead of up and the lines appear to run opposite of where they should. Every time I pick mine up I find myself fumbling with it because I’m hold...

Re: Mr Blonde's Bunch
Awesome knives & awesome photography skills. I wasn’t able to view all the photos (iPad limits or reasons unknown) but the ones I did see were really really good! I couldn’t believe people could find any reason to critique your photos. My own photos are so far below standards I’ve actually stopp...

Re: My Spyderco Photo Collection By GMaggos
Wow wow wow! Virtually every knife a rare & desirable variant. Moreover the clarity of the pictures is so high that normally hidden features and nuances are all revealed. So jealous on so many levels. Thank you for posting the pictures for us newbies to use as reference material and our own educ...

Re: Rare and Unusual Spydercos
Thanks for the encouraging words! Truth be told though many many others have far more impressive collections than me. Deacon immediately comes to mind! I’m still hunting for knives that I’ve seen here like the sprint run Red Persian, red jigged bone Endura, Ulize, etc. etc. I consider myself incredi...

Re: Rare and Unusual Spydercos
Thanks for the kind words but I’m still a newbie; I might have some cool old Spydies but I have almost zero knowledge! Almost everything I know came straight off of Spydiewiki or this site. Everyone here seems to know way more than me but I’m trying my level best to catch up! My acquisitions were al...

Re: Rare and Unusual Spydercos
This might qualify? Techno1 with incorrect CPM-S30V blade instead of the correct CTS-XHP blade. Spydiewiki alleges that a single run of these was mistakenly made and sold. Photo lacks sufficient detail but the blade is marked “CPM-S30V”

Re: A knife gifted you'd never let go
Does a gift you gave to someone else count? As is the custom I gave this dagger to my wife when we got married. Gold, coral, & abalone inlaid spiders, [that’s how it relates to this forum:)] flowers, Spider web, etc.; silver fittings, all on bone scabbard and hilt. Hand forged Edo period blade

Re: Rare and Unusual Spydercos
Figured out how to post pics! 1st one: Mini-probe with shackle #0008. Whoops! Just found out this is actually the full sized probe! Ruler measures to 6 inches. The mini probe only measures to 5 Inches. Not too much info on these or the pre-diver out there. Spydiewiki doesn’t have an entry for these ...

Re: Rare and Unusual Spydercos
Sorry can’t post my pics; told they’re too large. On Pinterest search for “Spyderco knives; yet another obsession”. Mini-probe, bi-fold, toad, early civilians & matriarchs, janisong, are my votes. Oh can’t forget my 1st Gen titanium A.T.R.!
