Re: The Edge Is A Ghost?

*Sorry if me and Synov are going off topic* I find it interesting, but I'll leave it be, and get back to the knives. You get the last word here Synov. Thank you for the discussion. Heck no you better not! The topic is about the ghost. Seems rather on topic to me and very interesting. Even if my sim...

Re: Lil' Temp 3 & Short Thick Blades

Yeah, I don't know. I would trust my Para 3 more than my FFG Delica. But I see what you are saying Gernot about the Salt version. I'll have to compare it to my Pac Salt in LC200N. Almost more of a sheepsfoot blade shape or more specifically sheepsfoot tip. Now, I should have compared it to my Salt 2...

Re: Lil' Temp 3 & Short Thick Blades

I have often looked at this model to compete with my two current favorites for house remodeling which are the Manix 2 and the Para 3. The Para 3 actually has a pretty stout tip compared to a lot of its counterparts. This is a surprising statement to me Jeff, but of course it has weight to it due to...

Re: Sage series collection - What's the next Sage?

I don't see how they could offer far better reliability. What I meant to say is: "Wouldn't a coil spring offer far better reliability?" (When I did a quick search on Wolff springs, all I saw were coil springs.) A coil spring like on the Manix seems extraordinarily more reliable. However, ...

Re: Sage series collection - What's the next Sage?

I believe Hogue uses Wolff Springs. Wouldn't that indicate far better spring reliability, cf the omega spring? Maybe with name recognition. I gifted my Hogue away and did not have enough time with it to determine personally how reliable it was. Back in the day I carried a Bugout quite often. Did ha...

Re: Sage series collection - What's the next Sage?

The Crossbar (Axis) Lock seems to be gaining much more in popularity since the Benchmade patent ran out in 2016 (you still can’t call it Axis lock due to trademarks). I’ve gotten several impressive ones from various brands with different names for the Crossbar Lock: — Hogue - ABLE Lock — Kershaw - ...

Re: VG10 HRC

If Spyderco ever does change to a different blade steel in it's Japanese models I will sure be curious as to which blade steel could possibly dethrone it. SPY27…. it’s coming Is that confirmed? Would be sweet! My guess would rather be something like Takefu SG2 - same foundry, locally sourced, alrea...

Re: Lil' Temp 3 & Short Thick Blades

Put me in the camp of this looks like a great work knife. I know this model was designed for a purpose, but I prefer shorter blades with relatively thick tips for construction related work. Comfy in hand or so it appears to really bear down on. I have often looked at this model to compete with my tw...

Between these, new Caly variants, and the Bodacious I'm excited. So much more I'm sure.

Re: Sage series collection - What's the next Sage?

Any new Sage variety is great! Would love a K390, but honestly will probably happily settle for the SPY27. Though a new lock variety would be best.

And for those that missed out, I would most enjoy a Sage 2 re-release like they did with the Sage 1. Even if it is a Sprint run.

Re: Tip Up vs Tip Down Poll

Interesting, I did not know they left out the holes by the pivot on the Bodacious. That makes me even more interested in it. I do not like unused holes all over the scales. It is one reason I prefer aftermarket scales. They just look cleaner. Except on the Military. I think it looks great even thou...

I believe SNK on their Instagram account said there were a couple more Golden models left to do. This is probably one of them I would imagine.
