Re: EDC Hygiene: Fixed Blade VS. Folder

I don’t know what the right answer for you would be. I don’t like carrying a fixed blade, it’s uncomfortable ime. I exclusively carry a folder and I often use it for food. I generally keep it clean and really I don’t worry about it much. I also have not up to this point experienced any “gunk” in the...

Re: Tip Up vs Tip Down Poll

Tip down is my preference.
Seems easier to manipulate the knife and more comfortable to carry.
If you’re carrying tip up you’re carrying it wrong.

However some knives don’t allow me this simple pleasure. I still carry them time to time anyhow.

Re: Good second Spyderco

The Delica 4 is fantastic knife.
Para 3 lwt right there with it, more often I carry the Delica. So easy and fits the roll of daily life, even with work.

The native is okay but the Delica fits me better.
Hope you enjoy whatever you get.

Really anxious to get this in the pocket.
Really like the blade shape, looks like a fun knife.
It does have that Persian style to it.

Re: Catcherman LC200N Sprint Run

I tried to wait for dlt as well.
I went with Indiana knives, the asking if I wanted to leave a tip was a little odd.

Price was right.

Re: What is your favorite Delica variant?

My favorite that I own is dlt exclusive od green cruwear Delica. I’ve put that knife through the paces. It’s a good friend of mine. I don’t remember how to post pics :/

I really would like to have the orange hap40 cutlery shop version.

Re: Spyderco Swayback Question

I suppose mine does do this as well. I really didn’t notice until I opened it slowly.
Honestly I almost always open this knife quickly and haven’t noticed this.

On my example it’s not the screws it’s a small detent pin. This knife is Goldilocks for me, hate that it’s out of production.

Re: S30V, S45VN or S90V. Is one of these better?

I vote for s30, yes I’ve used s45vn.
Ime s30 has better edge stability and easy to sharpen whereas s45 tends to roll.

Re: Knives capable of pikal style?

Swayback seems like a good fit for this role. That's an interesting one and classy looking in that titanium. It's only right hand opening though right? Seems like the more opening options the better for a potential defensive folder. It is titanium, yet the swell is comfortable in rgei and would can...

Oh man… I carry a back back with me. Only thing in my pockets are phone and knife, maybe Excedrine.

Pack I have wallet, pliers, multi tool, pump, bottle of body armor, handkerchief, woven frisbee, flashlight, batteries, wet disposables, gloves, earbuds. I think that’s it ?

Well I’ve been eyeing the blurple Millie however, you guys are not building a lot of confidence in s110v.
Chipping and sharpening challenges are two things I don’t enjoy.

If you want to quickly deploy the chief, gravity opening is a great option.
I have used gravity opening on a number of knives and works well for the chief.

I don’t understand perfect unused knives or obsession over a scratch or blemish on the knife.
(Other than complete safequeens I suppose )
