No. I enlisted in 1986. Most of our senior NCO’s were Vietnam era vets with quite a few having been draftees. My first 2 Platoon Sergeants and my first two 1SG were draftees who made a career of it. All the knives I used in the military were basically used as Utility knives. They were misused and abused.
