Re: I finally figured out what "Ergonomics" are
I think I figured out what good ergonomics were the first time I held a Manix 2.

Exactly my thoughts as well. Would also love to see a reissue of the Sage 3. It's probably the closest thing to a mini Manix.

Maybe a Chaparral plus at 3.25" and a Chaparral XL at 3.50"+? Everybody happy.

Re: Another thread for discussing a Chaparral XL - now that it came one step closer to becoming a reality
Does the blade need to be 3.5"? What if blade length was 3 1/8th or 3 1/4? Seems more proportionate to me.
I respect your opinion, but to me personally whenever dreaming of a Chap XL it has been about a significantly larger version in the very popular Manix, PM2, Endela, Stretch... blade size ...

Re: EDC rotation and edge retention
13 knife carry rotation. I like variety and to mix it up. So I don't have to sharpen frequently, but do strop often. I just go by feel as to when it's time.

Re: CTS-BD1N VS. CPM-Spy27
I have always felt like BD1N was just a little underrated. Edge retention is subjective for me as my EDC rotates between 14 Spydies, but it is a VERY easy steel to work with and, in my experience, very corrosion resistant. Takes a nice edge too. That said, I'd probably still lean towards the SPY27 ...
