Re: The Drunken: Amazing Knife, Ruined by its Pocket Clip.
Try to find a used one or dig deep. The Drunken really is a gem in the line up. The clip is meh but everything else about it is a standout. The milling, the shape of the handle, the blade shape, and the action. Spyderco and the guys/gals in Taichung out did themselves on this one. I have no doubt i...

Vanax!
Get the volume going and the the price could come down.
Salt knives would do well with it too

Re: Why the torture Spyderco?
I imagine it's because it's a limited market because the two things tantos excel at are two of the least performed actions of a pocket knife.

Re: Rex 121
If Sal himself finds it a pain in the rear to work with, and resharpen even with CBN, I doubt majority of customers would have better luck. I know a few of us here are sharpening and "edge" junkies, but I don't know if they'll think it profitable to produce this in mass quantities knowing...

Re: Manix 2 LW needs an update badly.
I guess you guys have lego hands, oh wait, even legos have curved hands... Never thought there'd be people voting against ergonomics, although lots of people fear change. I haven't really had an issue with the Manix LW scales. I do love the FRN when I'm cutting fish. Lots of grip even with wet, blo...

Re: Interest in Front Flipper by Spyderco?
i would like a front flipper by spyderco in a smaller size like a gb air front flipper. or along the lines of a kizer feist. there is also a mod you can do to a lil native that makes it a front flipper too. I can't believe I didn't think of the GB Air! That would be a great opportunity to make as a...

I've had good luck with my wicked edge in the clamp.
I've also had great luck by removing the blade and clamping onto the tang

Re: Steel Properties that Knife Companies Care about and Users Don’t
I would agree, Larrin. The sheer variety of models and steels makes Spyderco stand out quite a bit. Personally it's because I see Spyderco as fellow knife dorks. I like the large range of options, willingness to try something new and affinity to change it up. It stands out. Designs that wouldn't fl...

Re: Spidiechef XL?
For such a small knife it does a good job in my opinion as a kitchen knife. Comparing it to an actual kitchen knife is unfair in my opinion so I am not going to judge it by those standards or at least not be overly critical. The blade is more than thin enough for myself but it needed a edge reprofi...
