Curious if anyone here has used the scales produced by Chroma on their Mule? I like some of their designs and colors, and the price seems fair for an additive-manufactured product.
On the MagnaMax testing front. I'll be using it just as I did the MagnaCut one, as a Kitchen Petty/utility knife, as ...

And the red and black packing material is a great classy touch! Can't wait to start putting it to use. Oh and my dressed up Mantra in pocket to open it up.![Image]()

Re: That Metropolitan is mine !
I've had mine in pocket now for last 3 or 4 days and I absolutely love it. Action is certainly comparable to the UKPK that I own and while it was plenty sharp out of the box it now wears a 800 grit/.05um stropped edge that has been an absolute terror on everything I've used it on including four ...

Re: Let's talk Mule Team quantities
Hey Sal.
I've been pondering your question since I saw it last night, and as much as you are pushing the boundaries of performance in knife steels, you're a businessman, and the bottom line has to matter.
When the MagnaCut Mule dropped, I snagged one for the express purpose of doing with it what ...

Re: MagnaMax Mule Ordered
Yeah I didn't have any trouble getting my PE, and I'm sure that it will perform as advertised. It'll probably go on kitchen duty as a petty/utility just like I abused the MC version.

Re: Reveal 18 - Live!
Historically, I don’t really know if $337 is good or not for a Starmate,
lol, that is an outrageous price for a knife. I assume this knife is important to some collectors, but I think most of us are over the $300+ prices.
Well given Bob's immense impact on knife design and his own place in ...

Re: Do I really need a Sage 5 if I already own a Para 3
Despite the fact they are very similar in size they are worlds apart in how they fit in my hand. The Sage is just so good, while the P3 is awkward for me. Of all the models in that size range it's by far my favorite.

Re: Return of Lum Tanto
Props to BladeHQ and USPS, got one in hand two days after my order. I was very excited about a tanto blade as I find it to be a super useful profile, and not too many Spyderco tantos out there.
Unfortunately I think I am going to send this one back, and I'm not sure if I'll re-order. A few ...

Serpents Run Customs Goon
So I'm cruising through some social media and I see this knife company about to drop their new model with what looks to be a pretty darn close representation of the Byrd opening hole. Now I realize the patent has probably expired but there's been a level of respect in the industry concerning what ...

Re: Today I got…
I'm in North Carolina, on my carbon steel blades I usually start out with a treatment of Eagles Tears which is food safe. But my daily before I put it back in the case is a microfiber with a little bit of mineral oil on it. I don't have any issues with corrosion and I have a really nice natural ...

Re: On hold until expansion
they discovered abandoned and forgotten coal mines underneath the site
That's what they want you to think. Really, the site was chosen so they could mine the coal and use it to feed the new smelter and foundry that's being built. When the new facility is finished, the dodgy delivery ...

Re: Chinese Budget Folders In M4: What Does The Future Hold?
That is, if you consider $133 a "budget" option. I think, with all things considered, it is. Admittedly, the $85 M4 Delica deal a month or two ago does take the wind out of my sails a bit.
Considering all the D2 options out there for under $50, that I got a Kizer Sheepdog in 10V for $89 and ...

Re: On hold until expansion
In addition to all the "regular" construction issues on a project of this size. Eric mentioned on a Livestream that as the project got underway that they discovered abandoned and forgotten coal mines underneath the site that had to be assessed and then stabilized/filled in before they could continue.
