Re: Para 3 LW 15V - 3 disappointments, or unrealistic expectations?

Visible grind lines on a $200 knife is ridiculous. I would exchange that. That should be sold as B stock.

Agreed. I wouldn't like receiving an expensive knife that doesn't please me. Spyderco should be able to do better. OP, send it back. That's the only way to let Spyderco know They've done ...

Well, I'm sorry to hear about the disappointments.

I'm happy to hear that the action and tightness is satisfactory.

I would be excited to hear about your experiences with the 15V if you decide to use and keep it.

Thanks for sharing with us.

No doubt I’m keeping (and using) it! I had zero ...

...people expecting pocket jewelry.
...people then complain about flaws that have nothing to do with safety and performance.
..." I hate it, it has a spot!"

-I don’t hate it, I literally said in my OP that I am keeping the knife and do not want a refund

Re: Spyderco Steel Types

I would say "it depends"...
"higher end" steels can hold edge angles that "lesser" steels aren't able to because the apex would fold over immediately under some circumstances.

Here are two examples at different ends of the spectrum:

Since I’ve bought the Watu, nothing else will do. It is the most exceptional “edc” oriented folding knife I’ve owned.

Which were some of your previous favorite knives in the same category? Particularly interested in how you feel about the Watu vs PM2 or Para 3 (LW) if you've had/have them.

Pretty much what I was ...
