Re: Let's Talk Locks
I wish more companies would try Super Lock by Snecx, not protected by patent, because Snecx wanted more companies to use it. It works great in WE Vision R, I would love it on some Spyderco.

Re: Decline of serrations
Serrated knife always cuts, plain edge must be very sharp, edge must be finished to not compromise properties of particular steel - some like mirror edge, other don't. I had situations that shaving sharp knife struggled to cut zip tie, blade slipped on it and hit the concrete beneath. SE Police 4 is ...

Re: Police SPY27 QC issue?
I've bought Police 4 spy27 too. And sent it back. It had significant blade play (movement of the blade with lockbar) compared to my other back locks and was badly fit with huge gaps between scale and lockbar, near pivot area. When I've pushed blade against table, I could heard that blade play. It ...

Re: Bodacious Discussion
Shaman is more heavy duty because thick handle scales, Bodacious is more pocket carry friendly because thin scales. Magnacut Shaman with those ribs on scales is probably most heavy duty.

How about this Renegade? I think it had now desired serrations in 90's.

Re: Bodacious Discussion
I think making at least R2 radious on handle instead 0,5 mm x 45° chamfer would help.

I wish we had clarification (not speculation) on why the the other two designs provide for tip-down carry, but not the Bodacious. From your ...

Re: Bodacious Discussion
Bodacious Lightweight will be great. I would prefer FRN scales with texturing and hidden liners. It would be like big Lil' Temperance. Due to lock system and size it has to have liners I guess. Lightweight models without liners on and washers are for me instant pass.

Re: Decline of serrations
Was thinking about it but it's large knife like P4 and back locks are still hit or miss with fit and finish. I've picked spy27 Police 4 but I'll probably return it because it has bigger blade play than my two other P4. My current edc SE P4 has almost no play after using it and clicking for months.

Re: Bodacious Discussion
Only one thing I dislike is stop pin which is sticking out of scale like button lock. On clip side more than front size. And kinda regret not to wait for spy27 being available but deal on s30v was pretty good considering EU prices.

Re: Bodacious Discussion
Got mine. Rather keeper. Smooth G10 isn't my dream but it's not bad in reality. Whole knife feels light and well balanced compared with hefty Shaman. My interest in SE version is now peaked.

Re: Decline of serrations
Although I mostly buy PE Spyderco knives, I primarily carry the Police 4 SE (K390) right now. I plan to get one or two of smaller SE models in future, as the P4 is quite a large knife. It carries fine, but it’s the most aggressive-looking blade in my collection for people outside the hobby. I'm ...

I had oportunity to do dissasemble on my P4. I just assemble handle without blade, then lock handle in vice, secured with rubber, and assemble blade.

Re: What would be your dream knife?
Cruwear SE Rookie with clean ss/polished micarta handle is my new idea. I just miss clean look on Spyderco knives without all this screws, pocket clip holes and everything else.
