Seriously though, I'm really glad to see this awesome model that's sat in relative obscurity finally getting some well deserved attention.

Re: Blade HQ Native Chief M4 Exclusive C244GM4PBK

For some reason the Native Chief does not sell quite as fast as other Sprints do - here in DE the Rex 45 is still very easy to find in shops - weeks after it was introduced. It will sell out eventually (it IS a very good knife), but it does not seem to generate quite the frenzy that Shaman or PM2 s...

Re: Grail Knife (for me) Obtained!

Congrats.

The Spydiechef is a love-hate thing for me... I love the design (propably my favourite in the Spyderco line up), but I hate the weak detent and the lock stick on mine.

Re: Military 2

Not that it'd ever happen, but for a while I've wondered if the CBBL could fit into a Military. I'm a really big fan of that lock. Great compromise between the smoothness of a comp lock and the self close of a lockback. This. The CBBL on my Manix 2 XL is such a joy to handle, super easy, super smoo...

Re: A DLC Native Chief?

Since pretty much all Spyderco knives that were meant to stay got their all-black DLC iteration, I'm pretty sure that tradition won't change for the Native Chief.

I'm guessing S30V, though.

Re: Why does this forum not have a "Like" button?

Fun fact: due to the toxic effects that go along with all the push-button-liking on the internet in recent years, Facebook and Instagram are starting to abolish the like button right now...

Re: Why does this forum not have a "Like" button?

Sooner or later "likes" become a form of gratification, always. And from then on it's all about edgy comments to get that gratification.

The like button ruined all the social media platforms years ago. So... don't , please.

Re: What's your favorite large Spyderco folder?

Manix 2 XL... that thing just feels like it was made for my hand. Perfect ergonomics.

But over the last couple of days, I have to say, the Native Chief is growing on me, fast.

..."crazy" like in "don't be so serious". Like the "F*ck, yeah!" kind of crazy

Speaking of which, when I go that crazy, I carry these evil twins:

Re: Owing two duplicate PM2s. Crazy?

Dear MrMatnenko: Welcome to the Spyderco Forum. For the record, I carry a left and right pair of Yojimbo 2s every day . If duplicates are crazy, I've been good at crazy for quite some time... Stay safe, Mike That actually sounds a little bit crazy... ;) When I really like a thing, I always consider...

Re: Spydiechef

Mine (QCI 1) is at 80% and has lock stick... came that way from the factory. Both the late lock up and the lock stick do bug me, too, but I finally kept it because I love the design. I've owned and handled at least three other Spydiechefs, one had bad lock stick (returned it), the others were like t...

Re: I grossly underestimated the Native Chief

Maybe. But on a €210 (=$250) knife from a brand claiming to have tight tolerances for me there's no way around that that here is a "flaw"... and I'd consider Vivi's Chief flawed as well. Wouldn't you? Just for comparision: I handled half a dozen examples of the Manly Peak, which is a very ...

Re: I grossly underestimated the Native Chief

I keep getting this from Spyderco... basically every single knife I bought had flaws like this. I'm not exaggerating, it's been every single one . Because I like the designs I force myself into condoning the obvious, but once again I'm just baffled. That is very unlucky. Are you buying them from a ...

Re: I grossly underestimated the Native Chief

Just got my REX45 Native Chief. Since this is my first Spyderco backlock... is it normal for the spring to perceptibly protrude over the backspacer when the knife is open? They're perfectly flush when it's closed. I'd say 25% of my Spyderco lockbacks have lock bars that don't seat flush. One of my ...
