Re: Boating and lanyards
You could make a lanyard out of silicone tubing to get your knife to float and even add a cork to it. Use a brightly colored silicone color and use a reliable method to trap the air inside the tube. The silicone tubing can be used for all kinds of McGyver tasks while backpacking in a pinch like maki...

Re: Boating and lanyards
Wine corks and paracord are your friends. Use real one piece corks.

Re: Yojumbo M4
I made the scales “Skinny” and added more room for my finger on the lock access. I also added a forward school that eliminates the nub when closed but the nub does not really bother me like it does on the Shaman. It’s a dream of a knife now. I swapped the blades so the M4 is on the carbon fiber now ...

Re: Yojumbo M4
I already have two I swapped my blades so I have a S90V with Jade scales and modded it. Love it and the stock one that is all black but M4 blade now. It’s a great knife for us big hand people. I’d get this one but I have others in mind to get. Happiness is a modded Spyderco

Re: Can we get some Ultem scaled Sekis please?
How does Ultem respond to RIT dye?
Ultem can be good to see if you are developing rust under scales.
I would like to see Ultem used on the Roadie. I would call it the Roadie “Apple Juice”

Re: Spyderco 50th Anniversary Knife?
It’s a 50th anniversary not a 5th though. Putting a little 5 next to the Spydiehole just flat out wouldn’t read as “50.” It would read as a “5” next to the Spydiehole. There aren’t many, if any, knives that offer enough space next to the Spydiehole to make the “5” large enough to make it read as a ...

Re: Shaman thoughts
Ive never had a problem opening the shaman via the lock. Maybe I've just got skinny fingers. I have modded more access and it’s delightful afterwards. Some of us have sausage fingers :grin-smiling-eyes :index-finger glad it's working for you now. The issue for my fat fingers was to make the scales ...

Re: Shaman thoughts
Looking for a set of shaman liners. I purchased a shaman and the person sent another completed kinife with black blade. All the parts I need to make another knife. The issue is appearently he messed up the pivot hole on one of the liners. Not sure if he wasn't aware of the D shape or why he did to ...

Re: Spyderco 50th Anniversary Knife?
If Spyderco makes a 50th Anniversary model with titanium scales for a compression lock model, people can scale swap them with whatever their favorite steel one they have. Have a laser engraved 50th anniversary on the blade perhaps to distinguish.

Re: Spyderco 50th Anniversary Knife?
I like where mikey177 was going with the 50th anniversary being the golden one, and Golden certainly seems like the most fitting factory to make this commemorative model. I also like what Coastal was saying with it being a newish or new model — so I’ll throw out the option for a fluted Ti Military ...

Knife sharpening/Knife steel separate board?
Should we have a separate board for sharpening and steel discussion so they don’t get drowned out? Name it after Saint Larrin?

Re: Spyderco 50th Anniversary Knife?
I would be just as happy with a titanium scaled Millie 2. This would just have Titanium scales and use existing compression lock so would not be difficult to do for Spyderco but be unique and handsome. Doing a Golden frame lock may be too much to ask for
