Re: Drunken Lynch Clip!

Casey at Lynch is great. I have no doubt he's manufactured a clip because you (along with others) have requested it. A few months ago I emailed him about a sold-out clip, and he had his team custom anodize one just for me, without me having to ask. They just go above and beyond for each customer. I...

Re: Drunken Lynch Clip!

I planned on getting a Subvert clip as soon as they become available, along with a clip for my new Native 5 carbon. Now I'll have to hold off until the Drunken clip is available also. I hope it doesn't shift like the APurvis clip, which I love the look of, but agree that the movement drives me crazy...

Re: Subvert Sprint CF/20CV!

Spine whack test. Has anyone done a sine whack test on the Subvert? I got a wild hair and tried it. It failed after a few whacks on three attempts. I love my subvert and was wanting to see its limits. If you try this test, please use caution. I would like to hear others input on this so it’s not ju...

Well, This link isn't working.
The sale has not started yet. The sale starts at 9 am Mountain Daylight Time = 11 am Eastern Daylight Time.
Thanks. Looked at the wrong chart.

Re: St. Nick's Manix 2XL

I have one and love it! I use it as my "go to cardboard cutter". The factory edge chipped and I resharpened it on my KME with no problems. It really takes and holds a sharp edge and cuts like crazy. It's a BEAST!

Re: Subvert Sprint CF/20CV!

Does anyone know if the lockbar face is carbidized? Wouldn't that reduce the wear between the lockbar and the blade steel? Apparently, the process may cause other problems, but I've already purchased the knife, and was just wondering ...?

Re: River's Edge Exclusive

Always wanted to get one of these with 10v and finally did. I think the colorway with DLC and Coyote looks great! Can't wait until it arrives. Also ordered a Coyote Lynch clip. Think it'll look cool.

Re: Thor Damascus Spyopera

Does anyone know the Hrc of the Thor Damasteel used on the SpyOpera Sprint Run? If I recall correctly, LionSteel does their Damasteel DS93X (RWL 34 + PMC 27) at 58-59 HRC. Here’s the data sheet for DS93X from DamaSteel (56-61 HRC): https://damasteel.se/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/231603-Data-Sheet-M...

Re: Thor Damascus Spyopera

I just happened to be flipping through the "locking folding" section of the SFO last night at around 10:30pmish, (probably for the 10th time that night), and I noticed that the knife order changed and lo and behold, there it was, the Thor SpyOpera! I was totally shocked and thought this wo...

Re: What you don't like about spyderco knives?

What I don't like and understand about Spyderco, is that I replace every Paramilitary 2 and Para 3 pocket clip with an aftermarket deep carry clip. I have the feeling that 90% of the people that own these knives do the same thing. Some knives, like the Swayback, have the standard carry clip on it an...

Well, I'm not that excited, but I placed my order also. Maybe I'll get more excited when I put it together and use it. I did see that Herman Knives is using it and it is 8 more.

Re: Native Chief M390 sprint run

I got my satin finished today and it's great! Blade is centered and grind is even. Edge is sharp and pivot is tight. Lock up is "Bank-Vault" and action is smooth. All screws are tight, and scales are clean and unblemished. Couldn't ask for more. Thanks again Spyderco!

Re: Native Chief M390 sprint run

You also get coated liners. I have found the liners to not be as stainless as the M390 family. So this is a bonus to me. Maybe it is not the stainless steel, but just that moisture gets caught between the scales and the cut outs on the liners. There's no liners on the Native Chief. Correct, and one...
