Re: Spyderco for steak

I like using a serrated Z-Cut or a coarse-edge Mule for food prep and eating. They stay sharp longer than my other kitchen knives. And I smile big when I use them!

Are the wedges just to keep the chuck from spinning?
Probably to keep the clip stationary so it can't rotate when he is melting the clip slots. Great Mod kurt_r!

Thanks z1r!
Yes, the wedges keep the chuck from rotating.

Re: Dragonfly - show the love!

Hi u.w. Melted. I made a jig to hold the original clip in my drill press so I could align the grooves and control the depth. Heated the original clip with a torch until it glowed. Then pressed down. Made sure to turn the clip around so that only the flat area would touch the knife handle! Cleanup wi...

These two have kicked every other knife out of my pocket. The longer clip makes it easier to deploy and re-attach, and I relocated it to the lanyard hole for a better look and a slightly deeper carry. https://i.postimg.cc/05G5SNd9/dfly01.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/7YmxBQWc/dfly02.jpg https://i.postimg...

Re: Why does spyderco use XHP for fancier knives rather than harder working knives?

I think it would be cool if XHP could replace the outgoing(?) ZDP-189 in the lineup. Continue to have a high-chromium, low-vanadium carbide steel available for the customers who want that option.

1 for the USA. After reading the article, a Mule in this steel seems like the one to get.

Re: Still looking for UKPK in new steels and colors

DLC coated CruWear with a grey or brown handle would be different enough from the existing choices. FRN or G10 handle. LC200N with a subdued handle color would be good, too.
Love the UKPK.
