My daughter likes to watch me free hand sharpen. She says the sound is "very satisfying" (9 years old)


My 8 year old son says the same thing about the sound of various knives make while opening, especially the s90v chief.

I didn’t connect the dots until I saw the teaser posted in this thread, but the images he showed me were all Para2s and the only variation was color. He was so excited because if I recall it was going to be their first Spyderco exclusive.

I have 3 Chiefs, rex45, s90v and dlc XHP. I would say fit and finish between all of them are A+. The carbon fiber s90v model is the stiffest of the 3 but i can still easily spydie flick it is i desire to. I think there is enough difference between rex45 and s90v to warrant it and not to mention the ...

Both of mine have had similar issues to others on here. I took 1 apart and noticed a significant burr on the liner where the pivot goes through. I deburred it with a small file and it seems to be about perfect. I have not taken the second one apart to see if it has the same burr. If i do take it ...

Maybe use nail polish to paint on the pattern? Or do you think using acetone to remove the nail polish after would mess the dye job?

Buy the current one and see if the lack of jimping and dent really bothers you in that particular model! :D

I am pretty sure I personally will not miss that features in the RJ... but can't weigh in yet, still has not dropped in Europe ...

Thanks for all the comparison pics, guys. I will admit, I was originally lukewarm to the RockJumper when it was first revealed as I already had a Delica 4 Wharncliffe & Yojimbo 2.

But seeing those pics, I see that the RockJumper's handle is quite similar in shape to that of the Li'l Temperance 3 ...
