Re: HH UKPK drop point exclusive. NOW DROPPED
Did anyone measure theirs behind the edge ? I got .020” at the heel, .021” at the belly, and .026” at the tip. Date code is EV. I don't have a device to make such a precise measurements but differences can be easily seen in the picture. To be honest I think that only a bunch of knife freaks like us...

Re: HH UKPK drop point exclusive. NOW DROPPED
I'm glad i held out for the drop point and that HH commissioned it! Mine arrived while i was out of town and i'm just getting to spend some time with it now. It is indeed nicely executed by the Golden cutlers. My sample has an AV (January 2022) date code. Are we seeing any other date codes on these...

Re: HH UKPK drop point exclusive. NOW DROPPED
Mine left the UK last Tuesday and arrived in Spain the following day. Then, two days of customs paperwork (thanks to Brexit ;)) plus the weekend (Post Office closed) so I finally got it today. 98,63 euros (or USD as the rate of exchange now is roughly 1:1) charged by HH plus 30,78 Euros (or USD) fo...

Re: Anyone else concerned?
First of all, happy new year to all forumites! I agree that oversimplifation is dangerous. First, I wouldn't blame Chinese authorities for making their economic/trade policy decisions on China's best interest only. I don't think that the Board of the US Federal Reserve or the White House, when decid...

I’m probably the minority but I don’t like tool steals. Corrosion resistance is extremely important to me so they are out. I'm with you on that. But yes, I believe we are in the minority on this forum. Jim +1 We may be the minority but we are many. I even believe that there is a "silent majori...

Re: poll: preference of production or exclusives/sprints?
Production.
We, Europeans, don't have access to sprints and exclusives because of the time difference and the fact that most US dealers have decided not to ship abroad specially after the pandemia.
In addition I prefer to have a knife that can be replaced because it is in regular production.

This topic has been inactive during almost one year. I don’t know if “no news good news” applies this time.
Is the WLFK still beings considered by Spyderco? It was decided that it is a no-go project?
Just curious…

Re: Two Obscure Spyderco Gems: The C-56 Zowada & The Rookie
Don’t think I’ve heard about the Zowada before. Doesn’t appear to be my cup of tea either. The Rookie on the other hand, it definitely deserves another run. If they do another run in G10 and whatever steel, I can promise Sal right now I’ll buy at least two. At least. Same here. I'll buy at least ha...

Re: Spyderco Heinnie Haynes UK Penknife G10 back into stock
Today the HH Exclusive does not add anything to me. [...] drop point shape over the leaf shape. And paying about $ 150/170 (price + shipping + taxes + (probably) import duties thanks to Brexit as you said) for just a different color handle doesn't appeal to me. So I will pass. :-|| Well said, I'm i...

Re: Customer Care redundant nowadays?
In my experience (and I have stated this a couple of times in different threads), the Spyderco customer service is, once they become aware of your message and problem, TOP NOTCH. But sometimes it took me some time and patience to get my message received. I agree that a phone call is not the best (or...

Re: Giveaway!!!
Every day is a gift that we receive and that we do not usually appreciate. All of us. As I type this post, dozens of healthy people, or who thought they were, have died in the world. A drunk driver. A lost bullet. A stumble that makes you fall at the fatal angle. A lightning that strikes. An unexpec...

Re: Spyderco Heinnie Haynes UK Penknife G10 back into stock
I told myself I have enough knives to last a lifetime, so I really don't need any more. Of course, as soon as I got the email telling me the HH UKPK was back in stock I lost control of my fingers and before I knew it, I'd ordered one. I guess I will have to pay German import tax (thanks Brexit!) bu...
