Re: Share your in-hand pictures!
My para 3 with titanium scales. I like the simplicity of it. It’s easy to get carried away with all the different scale, hardware, and blade finish options. I have a taste for them all. However, I love this simple style.

Re: Seconds Sale 2020
Welcome to the forum. They do not sell parts at the Seconds Sale, just complete knives. Back on page 3 of this thread there is a picture of some seconds with the sale price tags showing, that should give you an idea of the typical pricing there. Thank you very much. I’ve had some difficulty learnin...

Re: New Member looking for advice
bladeswelove has a "PM2 Ultra" with a custom titanium lock release. I'd imagine they're working on a Para 3 version. DISCLAIMER : I've never seen or tried the PM2 Ultra so I can't speak for the quality. A lot of people are happy with his other mods but I think this one is pretty new and I...

Re: New Member looking for advice
Hey everyone! I’ve just gotten back into knives after a 5+ yr absence. I recently purchased a para 3 from SMKW that actually came with titanium scales. I’ve already done a skinny mod to my g10 scales and like it more than the titanium. Anyways here are my questions. What is the biggest area of oppo...

Re: New Member looking for advice
welcome to the forum, blades by themselves are probably non-existent, but maybe you could find a used PM2 on ebay for a good price? This is actually what I’ve decided to do. I’m going to do a complete custom job on my Yojimbo, and then try to sell it to buy a PM2. I’ve got to many knives now that t...

Re: Advice for new knife designers
A lot of good suggestions here. The cool thing is, one really doesn't need much to get started in knife designing or even knifemaking. CAD is a wonderful tool, but it isn't necessary. I still prefer to draw designs by hand using paper and pencil, but that's just a personal preference. Purchase a de...

Re: Advice for new knife designers
The Tower of London excavation was a complete surprise when I first learned of it. It settles, in one piece of evidence, the argument about originality of knife design. But there are other museums that help that too. The other three books (you ordered), I consider the basic starting set for anyone ...

Re: Advice for new knife designers
I would start small. First with a fix blade. Get ergos right. Handle shape, sharpening, heat treat,... Maybe start with a wood model first. A knife is tiny and a few mm off can make a hugh difference. Precision is important. Learn and evolve. What's the benefit of your knife lock? What is better th...

Advice for new knife designers
Hey everyone. I’m new to using a forum, but a huge knife and gun nut. I’ve done countless hours of internet scouring for info that it seems is overly bountiful here. This is very very exciting for me so I just want to say that I’m grateful to be here. That being said, I could use some insight. I am ...

Re: Seconds Sale 2020
Hey all! I’m brand new here. I just got back into knives early this year after being gone for 5 years+ and I’ve been blown away with hi everything has changed. Last I remembered D2 steel was on the higher end and S30v was the premium. Anyways, what kind of deals do they have at the seconds sale? Do ...
