how are sales figures for the spyderco parata?

Howdy guys. I was wondering how popular the parata is proving to be, and if there is currently enough interest to end up making one in a steel that is better than vg-10. I really like the knife, but I feel a little weird about purchasing a $190 knife that still uses vg-10.

Native 5 lightweight and dragonfly screws; thread pitch, length, and cross compatibility?

Howdy guys. I have a question for you. I am looking to get some replacement screws for a native 5 and a dragonfly 2. I was wondering if you guys knew what thread pitch, screw diameter, and screw length I would need to look for for each of these knives. I was also wondering if the screws (thread pitc...

Re: How often does Spyderco upgrade knife versions?

It looks like I may have to get into designing knives myself. How much did you struggle with designing your first folding blade? Does Spyderco ever do any collaborations with other companies? (not sprint runs, more like design collaborations) Does Spyderco use a common distributor for their steel bl...

Re: How often does Spyderco upgrade knife versions?

And with the endura and delica it almost looks like you wouldn't have to sacrifice any blade length for a choil. The steel just behind the blade already protrudes a bit, just extend it downwards a bit to get that choil. Then get rid of that bump on the front of the scale and move it backwards to cre...

Re: How often does Spyderco upgrade knife versions?

It might be knowledge that they exist. I just looked at the stretch 2 and would love to get one of those in a "fancy" version like the teal s30v, maxamet, s110v, etc. I have to ask though, (looking at BladeHQ) why does it look like the Ivory sprint run is the only one with the standard bla...

How often does Spyderco upgrade knife versions?

Howdy guys. I was looking for new spydies to get my hands on recently and realized that I still don't have many of the "reference" knives. I'm a big fan of the lockback knives and still don't own an endura or delica. I was looking at them though and realized that they don't have finger cho...

Re: will we see a dragonfly in maxamet or LC200N steel in the future?

I don't mean to completely resurrect a necro-ed post, but while we're on the topic of dragonflies, why was k390 selected instead of something like m390? Doesn't m390 have significantly more chromium, making it far more corrosion resistant? Now I know that there's more to a knife than corrosion resis...

Re: will we see a dragonfly in maxamet or LC200N steel in the future?

Hmm... it looks like a companion for my maxamanix might have to be homemade. I'l probably pick up the k390 to replace the zdp-189 that I lost a few months back. I already ordered one of the teal s30v ones to customize as a gift for a family member. I just checked on alphaknifesupply and didn't see a...

will we see a dragonfly in maxamet or LC200N steel in the future?

Howdy guys.

I was just curious as to what you guys think the possibility of seeing a maxamet and/or LC200N dragonfly would be in the future.

Thank you for your time. -Justin Utherdude.

Do y'all know where to get custom wood scales made?

Howdy guys. First time poster here, so pardon my inexperience. I am looking to get some scales made from stabilized koa or stained stabilized quilted maple wood (something durable but gorgeous, for EDC). I'd like to get them for a spyderco dragonfly, and possibly a set for a spyderco endura and mani...
