I think it's important for people to state how they missed out. Isn't the purpose of this forum a direct line of communication from Spyderco to it's fans? If the die-hard fans on this forum are missing out, then I think that would be valuable information to Spyderco. After all, it means they hit a ...

Do "purchase bots" even really exist, or are they a figment of imagination used to justify missing out on a drop? Anybody have personal experience?

Why would Spyderco charge a higher price than retailers when they already have a fatter margin from selling directly?

Why aren't any of these drops announced in advance compared to the massive hype marketing around others like the M4 tanto PM2?

So much fanfare for a different blade shape - like others said it makes no sense to make this a one-off since it's not a "sprint run" nor does it make sense to design and program a new blade shape/grind for just a single run (from a cost perspective). Hinderer has a half-dozen blade shapes...

Can somebody please confirm if this is 100% CF or a CF/G10 laminate? SMKW on youtube said it was the CF/G10 laminate: https://youtu.be/9cHKeTA7YkU

So what's the deal here? And is "peel-ply" just a description of the texture?
