Re: Gayle Bradley 2 CQI?
I bought mine several years ago above $150 and had the same weak detent and severe lock stick issues. It's a great looking knife, but it was also one of the least, if not least used knives in my collection. Also another reason why I couldn't get myself to buy the CruWear version. The detent was so d...

Re: Spyderco Groom carry suggestions
Congratulations! I carried the Slysz Swayback myself when I got married a few years ago. Its marriage (pun intended) of the classic swayback/jack knife design and the modern aesthetics of a minimalist titanium handle framelock makes it a very classy carry on your big day. That was my idea when I dec...

Re: Para 3 Lightweight Salt first impressions
Additionally, unlike every other para 3 LW I've ever seen, the centering is dead on. I personally don't care about centering on these knives, but I do wonder if they did a CQI pass since so many people complained about it. Try opening and closing it several times, and using it for at least 2 weeks,...

Re: It's About Time For: A Full SE Catcherman
Going a bit off tangent, but I'd really like for Spyderco to make a remolded ambidextrous handle before making another Catcherman run. I hoped they had updated the handle for the new release but didn't happen.

Count me in the minority, but I'd rather wish the management team make the long-requested Para-3 sized Manix instead of a CBBL Sage...

Re: Got this email about the Emerson CQC - 7, Ernie smiled, and share his philosophy.
Emersons are strange. 154CM and hrc of 57-59, and charging north of $197 or more depending on the model. It seems quite ironic that in the article, he seems to be an avid proponent of change, yet his materials and designs are stuck in time, left behind by much better and more value-for-money knives....

That's a Spyderco Spin, although it looks like a custom, or maybe an exclusive to a Japanese company, or even a knock-off... I can't seem to find anymore information regarding the graphics.

Re: Knife that screams liner lock got the compression lock - why?
..... The unfortunate disadvantages of this design style are that it creates a hot spot where your hand grips the single scale and the knife cannot be readily opened with the left hand . Stay safe, Mike Thanks for bringing that up on behalf of southpaws, Mike. Although most of us have eventually le...

Re: Hawkbill Lil Native *now with picture
That's a nice collection of hawkbills you got there! I must admit that my only experience with a Spyderco hawkbill so far is a Dragonfly 2 Salt Hawkbill SE...I know it's not a good sample size, but based on my experience it's been a hit or miss with the EDC tasks I usually put my knives to. That's ...

Well Zrow... After 3-ish years on the forum, I just now understands the meaning of ZrowsN1s. Nice. :smirk 01010101 a silly reference to my IT job. A more conventional spelling like ZerosAndOnes was already taken when I was picking my username. I honestly don't know why I didn't stick with the user ...

Re: Hawkbill Lil Native *now with picture
Unabashed LN fan here but I think my enthusiasm stops at a hawkbill design. The LN Wharnie already fulfills that for me. But I won't stomp on this idea at all and I'm curious as to where this discussion will lead to. 👍🏻 Admittedly Hawkbill users are an even more niche groupe than Wharncliffe users....

Re: Can we get some Ultem scaled Sekis please?
There's a reason you never see a used knife pic with it, including in this thread. It scratches and looks horrible (not what you want for a transparent material), and it cracks easily. For example: https://www.reddit.com/r/EDC/comments/125rws1/pretty_bummed_anyone_else_have_this_issue_with/ https:/...

Re: Sal, a handle forward Lil Native?
Please make it a wharnie though if possible like the Rockjumper and the LN wharnie. Microjimbo has entered the chat. Could a leaf/drop point blade be put on the more neutral handle shape of the microjimbo? Or is the microjimbo handle only capable of supporting the low tip placement of a wharncliffe...

Re: Knifejoy Exclusive...Slysz Bowie??!!
The sticker refers to the Slysz Bowie being (in many people’s opinion) the Spyderco GOAT (greatest of all time). As much as I am loud (too loud, perhaps) on bringing back the OG Bowie with the new improvements (which technically, would make it a "new"/different Bowie than the OG, if that'...

I have all locktypes of the `lil Native and I wouldn't mind if it's a backlock.

Re: Anyone else hoping for a 15V Wharncliffe Lil Native?
One design aspect that makes the WLN work for me, compared to other similar sized Wharncliffe Spydies, is the lack of a thumb ramp. I feel that I can make more precise cuts with the WLN because of this.

Re: Anyone else hoping for a 15V Wharncliffe Lil Native?
I find the relative lack of interest in the Lil Native Wharnie remarkable. I like mine a lot but do not feel the need for upgraded steel personally. I wouldn't say no though!! If I could magically turn all my lil native leaf blades to wharnies, I would. That's what I thought when I got my WLN too. ...
