Re: We finally got the UKPK Salt. Thank you Sal

I can recommend a chap in the UK who has done custom UKPK work for me in the UK, in the past. He is a good chap, and I have always been very happy with his work. https://www.instagram.com/p/CC0nyiyDIog/?igshid=12nca0aa6q17c https://forum.spyderco.com/download/file.php?id=39393&mode=view https://foru...

Re: The DAMAUKPK Project: Damasteel UK Penknife UKPK

Glad this project is simply waiting its turn! I’m very fond of the final material decisions, effort put forth by forum members, and just overall feeling of community that Superfool’s threads brought forward when creating the concept! It’s super neat! :D I see what you did there...super neat. I am a...

Re: The DAMAUKPK Project: Damasteel UK Penknife UKPK

100% this. I am trying to change scales and the blade hinge one is stuck. I am going to have to destroy the scales, or drill it. Anyone got any better advice? How about using a Dremel slitting wheel to cut a notch into the pivot pin, then using a screwdriver to keep it from spinning while you extra...

[quote=ChrisinHove post_id=1486592 The spinning Urban pivot is a problem for some. The D shaped holes in the scales wears round and then you’re stymied. [/quote] 100% this. Re: We finally got the UKPK Salt. Thank you Sal

Didn't mean to be spreading misinformation. Thanks for posting the actual law. If that's the only thing on the books, then the article I read was not very accurate (or outdated, it was a couple of years ago). Maybe they cleared up the vague language? The law is still ridiculous of course. I'm not a...

Re: We finally got the UKPK Salt. Thank you Sal

I love this but please green handles For actual UK use, green handles could be problematic. They have a law against "zombie knives". I wish I was joking. It's nebulous enough that a toxic green handle might be enough to get you in trouble. Happily this is just an urban myth. The law I believe you'r...

Hi Superfool,
Not shelved, just waiting for the opportunity. It's a complicated project and capacity is a big issue. I'm going to see if there is space for an Urban.

Phew. I thought it was canned.

Re: Spydisaster! (U.K.)

I bet if you privately asked a US based member that they could be willing to help you out. People are generally good about helping others in difficult situations. I would also be willing to bet this. I asked for help getting a couple of knives back from the US and received 2 replies right off the b...

Re: Spydisaster! (U.K.)

Unfortunately this is all part of the Brexit debacle, described as the biggest act of economic self-harm in history, so unlikely to improve any time soon. :( Agreed. I am not saying whether we should or should not have stayed in the EU, because frankly, I don't know enough to give an informed opini...

Re: revival of UK Penknife FRN Rescue with LC200N?

https://www.spyderco.com/catalog/details/C94OR2/475 Yes. Count me in. Put a little G10 and a full length backspacer on there though. I find sheepsfoot and lambs foot blades practical for a lot of applications, and they are not very murdery, which actually can be an asset when laws are as indistinct...

Re: Still looking for UKPK in new steels and colors

Still waiting for the HH UKPK to arrive.

I had an idea about a ukpk salt, but it didnt seem to gain much traction really. Not like the DAMAUKPK in July. The Damasteel version is gonna be a looooong time coming I feel.

I would very much like to see some more variants to the model.

The negative blade angle wharncliffe

I love the idea, and I think you make a very solid case.
Do you find you are getting any sustained RSI from your current arrangement?
What metal would you choose?

I am loving this effort level you maintain. It's intense.

The blade shape as is reminds me of the Pterodactyl

If this knife is ever made, I think we already have the perfect name :)

My first UKPK was/is a SE gin1 drop-point, and it remains one of my most used Spydies. They did stick around in U.K. retailers for quite a while after the steel & spring were superseded.
Is the metal and spring design not so good then?

Limey wants a knife he can't get in the uk.

Hi guys. I was hoping to get my hands in a couple of American UKPKs that don't find their way across the pond. https://www.countryknives.com/shop-by-department/sporting-and-outdoor/pocket-knives-non-locking/single-blade/jack/spyderco-c94sbl-uk-pen-leaf-blue-frn-spyderedge/ And https://www.countrykni...
